Congratulations rjh! She is beautiful! Hope you are all well!
  • Congratulations RJH, she is a beauty!

Carol, the pregnancy brain gets worse by the hour. I arrived at work this pm to find an error with the money, it took me a full 7 hours to realise where the mistake had been made  .

On the upside, the lady who I was working with had her sister and 8mth old twins over, so I have lots of munchies today and loved every minute of it.

On the downside, there has been much discussion in my family that I could be having twins to which clients sister said - actually I had that size bump when I was 10 weeks  . Praying now there will only be one bump when i go for my dating scan in 2 wks time.

rjh - elanor is beautiful. Congratulations. She is really gorgeous

thanks for all the lovely messages on here. I am totally petrified and didn't sleep at all last night - please tell me this is normal!!!

All of a sudden I feel like a small child myself and am certainly already on that emotional rollercoaster of hormones - went from exstatic to panic to happiness to crying with fear all in the space of 12 hours yesterday!!!

Can anyone direct me to some good information sources? I bought a good book yesterady day, but i tend to deal with the unknown by reading as much as I can get my hands on!!!!

It is totally normal, I still have waves of OMG what is going on! The night before we tested we watched the film knocked up! How appropriate! Anyway it mentioned a book on there "what to expect when you are expecting" and I have bought that one and it is quite good.

The other thing I do is look at websites that tell you what is happening each week my favourite is i-am-pregnant.com as it seems to give you loads of information.

It is such a weird feeling when all you have thought about for ages is getting pregnant and then all of a sudden you are. It can be very overwhelming and to be honest is not something I got used to overnight! Just try to relax and enjoy it! Does your digital test still have up on it that you are pregnant? Ours lasted just over 24 hours, but I have kept it anyway! I then did a test everyday for 10 days as I had bought loads from access diagnostics, i liked seeing the pink line come up quicker and darker each day!
    xx

Congrats rjh, Eleanor is aboslutely gorgeous! Well done!

And congrast starting! The abject terror and confusion does wear off eventually, well in theory anyway! It does take a while to get used to though so don't worry about it!
