Just popping in to mention there's a good offer in May's Prima Baby & Pregnancy magazine, £2.50, Jenny Frost (Atomic Kitten) & baby on cover

p.112 - voucher for FREE Boots Folic Acid 56 tablets, worth £2.45 and valid until 31 May

So if anyone needs folic acid (although you can get it on prescription as well :money:), the mag would only cost you 5p, IYSWIM. ;)

There's also a competition to win a year's supply of nappies.

There's also a subscription offer: 12 months for £21.30 and FREE Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottle & steriliser set worth over £22. www.qualitymagazines.co.uk/by/SA66 (this is probably not working yet - also remember to copy & paste) or call 0844 848 1601 ref. SA66.

ALSO... with my sub copy came a Prima Baby Spring 2008 chequebook with offers and competitions and money-off vouchers in it, so the shop copies might have them too.

Good luck ladies - I'm outta here before I get broody again :rotfl:
  • Hi every one

Honey- nice bump u have got there.

September - thanks for the congrats!

Rang doctors this morning and they confirmed it ( though started having a few doubts last night, thinking i'm gonna look silly if it's negative now lol)
They wanted to wait nearly 2 months before booking me in with midwife but i told them that last period was only short and not as heavy as usual, so i have an appt. on 8th May. Going to tell the 2 other kids tonight, i think they will be excited. M-I-L said to leave it till 4 months but my ds is a bright button and will know something is going on, particularly as he has this fixation with my boobs at the moment and they have already started to swell!

In trying to get my head around this, oh and I have been coming with the positives and negatives - The positive mainly being that I have always loved being pregnant and never had many problems previously, a new negative was added yesterday when talking with a friend about weetabix (which i loathe) oh no, I am going to have to go back to "feeding" this to another kid, and what's worse cleaning it up from every crevice :rotfl:

    Hope everyone else is ok

Sheel, I know you will be so tired of people asking (but I just can't help it!) so I will just say it in my mind from now on :rotfl:. My family had to wait 11 days for me to produce the goods :D

Ask away , i'm not bothered! It's Gemma who's fed up of it. I text her every day (she's actually here with me now so haven't needed to today) , but I make sure I always just ask her how she is as she has enough people asking her if anything's happening

She's booked in for a sweep on Friday and i'll be going with her as she doesn't know if she'll feel like driving afterwards. Is that a good idea? How do you feel after a sweep?

    He Sheel,

I'm booked in for a sweep a week on Friday (a week after my due date) in case I need it. I was hoping that my Mum could take me, in case I was uncomfortable, but unfortunately she has to work. I've spoken to the midwife again to find out if I will be okay to drive, and she's said that I will be - apparently there's some discomfort at the time, and some bleeding, but unlikely to be any discomfort that would make me unable to.

However, if she's asked you to, and you want to, that's a different matter altogether.

  • Sheel, I didn't opt for a sweep as they offered my one at my term plus 10 appointment but I was booked in to be induced the following day so it didn't seem worth while. SIL had one but still had to be induced so I think it just depends on whether baby wants to play ball! :D I've been told it is a little uncomfortable and to expect mild period type pains and possibly slight blood loss afterwards. Good luck, Gemma!

I have still not called my Dr to make an appointment as I'm too scared to make it real. I'm in two minds as to get the ball rolling now and beg for an early scan or leave it be for a while and see if the worst happens. Can you tell I was last in the queue when optimism was given out? :rotfl:

And I have already started with the 'I need carbs and I need them now' hunger!

    Thanks, Dormouse!

And can I also add that Mother & Baby May issue has a coupon for a free large pack of nappies from Lidl worth £4.99. The magazine is £2.60 so well worth it if you have a Lidl store near you.
