  • So glad you are feeling better, poppyjoe! I'm dreading the horrid MS starting...

Jojo, she is absolutely adorable! You must be such a proud Mummy! I definately agree that epidural is king (even though it took 3 attempts with Poppy!).

    Any news from Sheel today?

September baby - you never know, maybe there will be no morning sickness this time! I was reading in one of the pregnancy books that morning sickness could be partly in the mothers mind! Needless to say it was a man who was the author of that particular book!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

My poor other half is having a little sympathy pregnancy all of his own! He can't stand certain smells, is having to go to the loo all the time and is suffering from fatigue! My other book (written by a woman) said that men can experience this for several reason one being feelings of guilt about the suffering his wife is going through (poor me!) and the other is because he is living with an irritable woman! Obviously he must fall into the first category! There is no way I am irritable :o!

lol poppy ur oh symptoms remind me of when my sis was preg i kept telling her she was and she said she wasnt turns out i was right the down side of being a twin lol my older brother also always gets cravings when his wife,or me and my sis are pregnant and eats jars and jars of pickled eggs and when the babies are born he cant stand them.

well its been a long day for me and oh.i mentioned of the pink discharge i think and was told it was a show and that i had thrush which we already knew, well last night i had a bit of blood went i went wee and it then turned pinkish but only when i wwent wee and wiped so rang the cmu who told me to go in at 3.00 am oh's step dad took us bless him.
well they checked my cervix and did another swab and the doctor says not very nicely "theres no blood now so we just have your word for it and the thrush isnt so bad it needs treatment".oh wasnt best pleased as he'd seen the tissue which was stained pink, and they ignored the fact it was when i went for a wee it had happened every time didnt even have a sample but told em to go back at 12 pm today so got a taxi home.went back to the hospital to have another dose of anti d which we had on the 15th but had to wait till 4.00pm so that was fun NOT.

QUESTION does anybody else baby really hurt when its moving mine has reduced me to tears it feels as if hes grabbed a handful of the inside of my belly and is twisting never had this feeling in my others could it be because he lies sideways so not boobs to bits rib to rob across(does that make sense)

  • Oohh contrats to those who have just given birth / found out they're pregnant and good luck to those about to pop!

I have a query - we were planning on starting ttc in August - but I've just gotten a new job. Due to a lot of money being invested in my training, there are penalties if I leave before a year - which I'm guessing means that ttc is out :( They say they like people to be there a min of 2yrs before moving on - could this 2yrs inc. maternity leave?? Also - do you think it would be completely wrong to aim for a baby to arrive about 13months after I start?!? I don't want to screw over my employer or anything, but I do want kids and had no choice but to get a new job as my company has decided to make us redundant...Eep! Anyone think I should just forget about ttc within the 1st yr or so? I mean - what if it wasn't even planned and just happened?!?!?!

cheeky - check your contract. mine says that i wont qualify for maternity leave in the first year. of course you can have a baby but you may not get smp and may have to get MA or even IS for a while. i think that's a pretty standard thing for most employers. i'm lucky i've worked for my company for 10 years now!

arrrrrrggg major gripe alert.... i am so sick of feeling sick, i'm 15 weeks now and i am still feeling sick and throwing all my food up. i was sick till i was 20 weeks with my DD so not long to go now i hope! plus i've had a nasty cough now for nearly 2 weeks and it wakes me up at night, i want to feel human again!! not easy with a 17 month running aroung but it would be nice!

JoJoB - OMG, it sounds sooooo the same as my labour, especially the bit of having the epidural done during the contractions. They never told me baby was back to back, so couldn't understand why I was in so much pain so quickly (2cms and panicking ). Ahh this brings back memories...
