Hi girls,
Just wanted to re-introduce myself. I've been TTC since the new year, I had a very early miscarrige last month. I am now 5 weeks pregnant and feeling better about things this time. I wont add myself on the list just yet. I think I'm due around the 22nd Nov.
Hope everyone else is well.
Happy Easter xx

Hi. I just wanted to try and reassure you. I was bleeding early in my pregnancy and had convinced myself to expect the worst. I had a scan at 7 weeks which confirmed there was a bleed right next to the baby. Yet, here I am at nearly 18 weeks and all is fine. Baby is kicking like a good 'un.
Please try and stay positive. It could just be 'one of those things' like mine was.
I wish you all the very best. xx0 -
Thanks wotnext. The wait is awful though it has put a real damper on the holiday weekend. I am not helping things either as i cant help but search the internet for every possible outcome. Can I ask how long you bleed for and was it old or new blood?0

quick version of Edwyn's arrival, had my midwife support for homebirth withdrawn due to blood pressure issues, had 3 attempts before getting a successful sweep then painful latent stage from Weds 12th onwards. Admitted to hosp while still at 2cm as they wanted to monitor bp (and m/w thought i had protein in urine, but no more found once in hosp!). Spent all of Thurs on paracetamol which did nothing to deaden the back pain...started to suspect back-to back issues.Fri, had dose of prostin and a further sweep hich gave more terrible contactions/back pain...husband sent home at 8ish, had pethadine not long after which worked for about an hour. Crying with pain by 11, examined and finally at a whole 3cm so could be transferred to proper labour ward!
DH arrived just before 1 in time to calm me down and breathe before the epidural which i was almost phobic about having but needed. An hour or so after that I was hooked up to the drip and contractions were gradually upped over the next few hours until at max at 10am. Had progressed to 5cm by then, so they still hoped I could get to 9cm or so naturally and left me till 2pm, still attached to drip at max and CTG. Baby's heartbeat was dipping with every contraction, but I didn't progress past 5cm in those 4 hours so decision was made to go for csection.
That was very successful, and had a lovely bed in the brand new recovery suite for 24 hours....just me and one other girl with 2 m/ws to look after us, and the other girl was moved to the postnatal ward a couple of hours after the birth!
Spent until Tues on postnatal before being allowed home...there were initial worries as Edwyn wouldn't feed properly and i ended up having to express milk constantly to keep him going... he had slight jaundice, but not severe enough to need light therapy so we were allowed to escape.
Since then, have had a few hours sleep - totally shattered but very happy to be in my own house without the hell of other people's babies on post natal! Feeding is still a struggle but we're working on it and my little bundle is wonderful!0 -
congratulations duggie, you son like you had a hard time. ive told my little lump that he is not coming out :- )0

Congratulations douggie! :j
I found out yesterday my mum went overdue by 2 weeks with all 5 of us kids! Hope I don't take after her. She had pre-eclampsia with all of us too so I'm a bit worried. As soon as I feel well again I'm going to make sure i go for a walk or swim every day to improve circulation and speed things along a bit. I've got a month to go and can't take much more of feeling like this, so certainly can't manage another 2 weeks on top!2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
