You can get a sea water nasal spray which works as a decongestant and helps clear sinuses and stuffy noses. As it's only sea water it can be used in pregnancy. I suffer with bad sinuses and find it really effective.

Potters Allerclear is the brand, Mr Fritha uses it for his hayfever (although he's not pregnant, he did a test to check, lol), he says they're very good, and you can buy them in Boots :-)

I was told by the pharmacist that paracetamol, olbas oil and basic throat sweets like Soothers were fine but nothing else unfortunately. Oh and Keely I've had a stuffy nose on and off since I became pregnant but not really bad enough to seem like I've got a cold (except when I had one!) just more than usual!

I'm fed up! Been trying to get my hot water on for two weeks now and it's still not fixed after spending over £100 on two different tradesmen. Trying not to get stressed but it's so frustrating and feel mingin cos I haven't had a bath for two weeks and i feel fat and smelly.

Went to the midwife yesterday and my BP has shot right up so have to go for tests at the day assessment centre today. Looks like either pre-eclampsia or pregnancy-induced hypertension. I think it's plumbing-induced hypertension myself lol.

I ate a whole lindt easter egg yesterday. :eek:

My eczema has flared up since becoming pregnant, but this could be because i was taking antihistamines which were helping to keep the itching down and so i didnt scratch as much etc-i had to stop taking them.

Im off to stay with my parents from tomorrow, for about 5 nights so my OH can rip our bathroom out and put a new one in. As im needing the loo about three time in the night-its safer to stay somewhere where theres a loo to use! Dont fancy squattin over a bucket lol. Cant say im looking forward to it though, i get on better with my mom since moving out and its going to be strange sleeping without my OH and cats.

Oh, and my mom has now started making a fuss-trying to touch my belly and doing other annoying things! As great as being prgnant is-im already getting slightly annoyed at people thinking they can touch my belly now! lol!

Im sure ill be back tomorrow to moan about my mom driving me up the wall already! (i love her really!)

Just realised that my EDD was out by 3 days! Those 3 days make a huge difference :rotfl: :rotfl: (it moves me down the list by 1) So I've changed it.

Thanks for everyone's answers re my sore throat. I ended up having tropical fruit squash, but used hot water instead of cold.

Can I have lockets then, as someone mentioned I can have soothers?

Is your baby's head engaged yet? My daughter is a week behind you and the head isn't engaged yet , but it's on it's way! Just reading on the BBC pregnancy calendar that the head can become engaged anytime from 36 weeks onwards for 1st babies.

hi everyone, hope you are all feeling OK.

I'm missing my bump aready! Feel sad that i will never have another baby - as 4 is enough believe me. I know i will get broody again, even though i found my last pregnancy sooo stressful and could never go through childbirth again, although won't go into that as nearly all of you have got that to come. Ben is poorly at the moment and full of cold and having terrible tummy aches - the downside to breastfeeding is that you still have to watch what you eat as it can affect your baby and although i never really drunk before having him, just because i can't, i would love an alcoholic drunk - i know that you can have a little and discard milk but can't be doing with that.

However organised you think you are before the birth - believe me it all goes to pot, especially when you have other children. i thought i was so organised with shopping, baby stuff, cleaning, etc - but i was wrong
