  • Re Bounty packs, did your MW give you a blue/white Bounty folder at your booking in? Inside that should be a Bounty pregnancy booklet and inside that a voucher to collect your Mum to Be pack from Asda or Boots. Its worth collecting at Asda though as inside will be a £5 voucher off George Baby! Some centres do also give these packs out themselves too. I ended up with 4! :o

I'm sure someone will post if this has changed since last year :D

    No she didn't.

If I don't get given it at the scan next week I'll ask for it.

Thanks for entering my name on the list. x

I didn't get a booking Bounty Pack at all though I did get the overnight and newborn essentials ones when in hopital. Quite miffed that I missed out on the first one!

If you haven't got a Bounty pack from the Dr or your midwife you can sign up on the Bounty website and I think there is a voucher you can print of on there or they send you a voucher in the post.

Here are all the bounty packs so that no one misses out on any of them. They do still give out the booking information one as I had that one given to me when I was booked in. I handed in the voucher that was inside the booking pck for my mum to be pack today, had to be at boots tho as we don't have an asda anywhere near us.

I felt the first movements this morning which was great and had my 16 week appointment today and heard the heartbeat for the first time. :D I was hoping with this being third time around it would be easier, but I seem to be requiring a heck of a lot more sleep this time :rotfl:
I live in my own little world, but it's ok as everyone knows me here :)

I can't believe where 9 months has gone, it doesn't seen so long ago that I was terrified of telling anyone I was pregnant and praying I would get through the first 12 weeks. Now its my due date and there is no sign of the baby coming on time, I won't be surprised if I am still here in a weeks time waiting.
Any ideas of how to fill the waiting time? As 3 kids has said I am also fed up of cleaning just in case.
  • At 14 weeks + 2 days tomorrow I FINALLY have my first scan, which I am so excited and nervous about! How long does it take and what exactly do you see? My mum said I need a really full bladder so I'm planning on getting there early and drinking a bottle of water, instead of running around needing a wee trying to find the right place :j

Paradisekidd-on my letter giving me my appointment, it states that you should drink a pint of water before going in, or something like that to have a full bladder.

Im not due to go for about three weeks, but it did also say on my letter to keep two hours free for the appointment.

  • hi all,
i posted my first post the other week and havnt been on here since- how is everyone doing?
I have 4 weeks and 6 days to go today until babys due!! its really flying by now, we have the nursery done and are just getting the final bits and pieces, im on maternity leave now which means i am so bored, does anyone else get really depressed just sitting at home all day waiting??
I live in a village aswell so there is just nothing to do!!!
had midwifes appointent today and explained that i keep getting pains in belly and legs- apparently its my 'ligamnets streching??' to allow space for baby.

I am still getting alot of predujice from the midwifes where im young, but thanks to the posts on here ive realised that it doesnt matter what they think! and also that they treat many women like that no just me!!
To be honest i think that most of them (not all but most!) have the whole een there and done it attitude' and dont realise that its your first baby and that you are in the dark!!

    Anyway, ive wrote enough!
    xx :o
