No, but I sometimes get morning sickness type nausea. I'm quite sensitve to hormone changes I think.
Roll on the menopause?!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

Me too actually, though not this month - 'just' the sore boobs, backache, bellyache, hot flushes, dizzyness and broken sleep/bad dreams this month, along with the new bonus feature of metal-in-mouth taste. Good being a girl innit!
Anyway better get out of your thread and go try find a dentist methinks, ta again.:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -
Hello again to everyone. Re: Cervix Chats
I just realised that I said you could start talking to your cervix at 28 weeks. My pregno brain has given you the wrong info - so to those of you out there who are under 38 weeks and have obviously already starting cervical chatting I'm afraid your gonna have to stop.
Basically it's only good to start cervix convos from 38 weeks onwards. Sorry bout that. I hope no-one gets too upset out there - if you do maybe you could start talking to other parts of your body instead as a stand in until the 38 week time. Sorry.......Baby Ember

Well I'm up now so I might as well see if there is anyone else who's having this problem.
For the last 3 nights I've gone to bed tired only to find that I can't get to sleep. I toss and turn for an hour or so and then get up. I eventually get tired enough to sleep at about 2 - 3 in the morning.
Is anyone else getting this? Maybe you might have some wonderful sleepy tips for me as it's getting annoying and I certainly don't want this going on for the next 5 weeks as I'll be knacked by the time the babe comes.
Thanks. xxxBaby Ember

I thought that lack of sleep only started after you'd had the baby. Obviously not!!
It's early and I've been up for at least an hour, preceeded by an hour of trying to get comfy.
I'm 25 weeks and had quite a bit of insomnia in the fourth month when usually I'm a sound sleeper. This week I've begun waking with pain in the hip that I'm sleeping in so I turn over and about an hour later I'll be awake again. I've tried suggestions of sleeping with a pillow between my legs but that isn't making a difference. I'm thinking of getting one of those long pillows, however they're £25 and the closer I get to term the tighter my purse strings are pulled!

The sleep deprivation starts before birth with lots of women.
I think it's your body's way of preparing you for the lack of sleep that you are going to have for the next 18 years
I have my own sleeping tips which include having a window open and lying next to a pillow as I have SPD and always have a drink etc next to me, oh and a pen and paper as I'm a worrier and I always think of things that need doing at night time and by writing them down, I can clear them out of my head. But they are all personal things.
Some people say lavendar works, but personally I think it's a horrible smell and besides I'm highly allergic. Staying in bed and reading a book if you wake up is good as you are still getting rest. I personally wouldn't turn the computer on, as it's too stimulating."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

Anybody's bump been reacting to music yet? I decided to put on classical music this morning rather than having Phillip and fern waffling on all morning, but have had to amend my choices quite quickly! I put a pastoral by Beethoven on thinking it would be a nice chilled one, but it was full of dah DAH DAHHHHHHHs and made baba jump out of his skin lol.
Going to give Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring a go then experiment with The Flaming Lips.
Yup - best reaction is to 'Rockstar' by Nickelback. In training to be a rock chick so I can take her to cool concerts later on hopefully. DS is in training with Aerosmith too, although he now knows some of the words from 'The Bad Touch' by the Bloodhound Gang, which I hope he doesn't sing in front of anyone else so will have to keep an eye on that one. Not much reaction to classical yet, but ds didn't beforehand but did at bedtime after he was born.
Glad you managed to get your Surestart grant 3kids! I'm nearly there with my stuff, just need to hire a tens machine and sort out some drawers. My sleeping has been appalling - very painful Braxton Hicks (hardly had any before) and could just about walk yesterday, so tragically had to leave the ironing.I've done a spreadsheet of what I've spent, what it originally would have cost and the savings and DH is very impressed so maybe that would work? It seems to have gone from a period where my hips have loosened, to the braxtons, and my heartburn isn't too bad now,so presume everything is just getting ready, just earlier than last time (although had hardly any braxtons last time). I'm thoroughly fed up of being pregnant too (last time I was decorating two weeks before) and the whole pain/unable to walk thing is completely alien. Still feeling a bit guilty wishing her out early, but roll on b-day.
Hope everybody else is feeling ok.Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0 -
Hi Bun, you sound just like me. I could do with sleeping for six weeks and then out pops baby. I wonder who will be first - i certainly don't intend to go overdue. Like you I could really do with some sleep. Lost track a bit of what i have spent, but I know that i have done my best to get things with vouchers etc. This is my fourth pregnancy and I can't ever remember having braxton hicks before but seem to be getting them this time. I wouldn't say that they are painful for me but uncomfortable and make me waddle a bit! Only left the house once yesterday for about 20 minutes and got 2 people saying that my bump was small. Even if my bump is i know that my bottom isn't as i have started wearing OH's boxers as they aren't tight on me. Midwife seems to think that baby will be about a 7lber if i go to full term - bit surprised as my last child was 9lb. Could do with decorating lots of areas of the house but i know that if i start i won't stop and OH will just let me get on with it.
House is feeling really cluttered today - been into my kids rooms and after xmas they are jam-packed with things. Really could do with a good de-clutter, problem is i keep buying things (boots 75% sale doesn't help). Have put things away for easter pressies for kids and pressies from the baby to them.
Take care everyone.now mum of 4!!!0
