Congratulations! You could try the dti.gov site, or the maternity alliance, they're helpful.
Thanks Bun - after much going round in circles found the link:

Forgot to say....
OH has read to the baby every single day since about 12 weeks!! She chooses her own story loland definatley recognises his voice and her name which was rewarded on our 4D scan with a gorgeous laugh and smile as soon as she heard him speaking to her - even the sonographer commented on it!
We also have a cuddly toy that plays a lullaby when you pull its tail which she loves, it sends OH asleep and i have even started pulling its tail to keep it going when im asleep :rotfl:
I found the Mothercare body pillow a huge help earlier on (nothing works now im almost 39 weeks!) but at £25 it is pretty expensive so the ones in Lidl are a really good buy.
Choc, im thinking about you (and worrying) x:heart: I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
Anyone know when the best time to get measured for nursing bras is? I am 34 weeks now. Thanksnow mum of 4!!!0

She did forget all the paperwork and leaflets so maybe thats why it was quick and boring
I didnt get all the questions you did Choc, which was a releif, in fact i think she only asked me if i was breastfeeding.
Goodness, wonder if I'm seen as a dodgy character?
Went to the midwife on Tuesday, felt absolutely fine, got there and she found protein in urine and blood pressure high. She decided to give me a while and rechecked blood pressure, hoping it was caused by rushing around, nope, it was even higher so she sent me off to the day assessment unit for blood pressure monitoring.
After four hours there BP was steady but still high, blood tests came back that there were "worrying" (her words) levels of urate(?) in the blood sample and I was dispatched to another hospital to be admitted. Spent the last two days there. My blood pressure hasn't gone up any further and the urates has risen only slightly so I was allowed home last night (after nagging all day!!) but have to go in for monitoring again this afternoon as they are not happy with the monitoring trace done on the baby (who admittedly has been moving a lot less this last few days but I think that is common for later in pregnancy? Ella, You're at the same stage - is your baby just as active?). Two doctors in there mentioned trying to induce me yesterday; one even tried a cervical sweep (OOOOOWWWWW!!!!!) but the second doctor decided as the baby's head wasn't yet engaged at all it could be more dangerous than just waiting a while longer.0 -
hey havent been about in a bit hope everyone ok!!
i am now 25 weeks preggers and not sleeping well. i keep getting a stabbing burning pain in my left side. after much discussion and speculation with anyone who will listen including doctor, we have worked out it is muscle pain as putting ahot water bottle on it for 20 minutes takes pain away although will stil lbe a bit achey. i think its caused by me tossing and turning in sleep and bump not bieng properly supported. anyone have any advice? anyone got one of those wedge things and are they any good?
thankslove you lots like jelly tots0 -
RJH - I just use a a normal pillow down my side and then a cushion between my knees.
Baby keeps getting hiccups i think as i get rhythmic movements.
Hope everyone is doing OK and getting lots of sleep!!!now mum of 4!!!0 -

well today should be the day but to be honest i dont think he is for budging??? my DS birthday is monday so have a funny feeling he may arrive then, nothing was really organised for his birthday as we are going to do something once this bundle has arrived.
although waking up full of the cold this morning i havent really got any backache or any pain which is a bonus really! have been seeing the nhs reflexologist for my backache and spd and i advise anyone to go for it if its available. i went from not being able to walk around the shops or get out the bath to normality within a few sessions. i must admit though the night after having the treatment i was always in a lot of pain but by the morning this had disappeared.
hope everyone is fine and fingers crossed baby charlie arrives asap!!!! xWhat's for you won't go past you0 -
Congrats JPWHittle!
Cazcoomb - hope stuff starts happening for you soon
3 Kids - have just done mine as really didn't fit any more into the maternity ones and they were cutting in really badly underneath, despite the extenders. Much better now! Mothercare had pack of two (that don't come up too high at the front so they show at the top of all your tops, cool) for £25, and some on offer too.
Choc - hope you and bub are all ok now, keep us posted!
My health visitor has just been for the first time and is the one I hoped I'd get from our surgery who is very experienced and will give you advice that actually works, rather than ' well the government guidelines are....' which is fab, so I'm really pleased. She didn't ask any odd questions but I gave her enough material so no need really. All the sleeping/strong braxton hicks etc is perfectly normal for second child onwards so that's a relief.Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0 -
