  • want to cry. Just used some wartner aerosal thing on my thumb and spilt some on my cracked hand - then realised that i am not supposed to use it whilst pregnant. Feel so stupid. Not sure why it isn't suitable or what it can do. Any advice?

Yes, stop crying and wash your hands.

A lot of companies put that products are not suitable for pregnancy simply because of a lack of testing. You can email the company for advice if you want to:

(or is there an alternative contact telephone number on the packet for advice?).

Also you can call your midwife in the morning. I would think that there is'tn really anything else practical that you can do......other than to stop worrying.

    Yes , she's having a girl :j

She's suffering from lower back pain today and she has a friend who had the same and it was an infection , so I hope it isn't that. I'm wondering if it could be sciatica though as I had that when I was pregnant with her!
    Awww, I'm having a girl too! :D

I've got shooting sciatica pain down my left leg and it's really painful. I hope she doesn't have an infection and that it can be eased with some physiotherapy :)

i know what you mean Bun, people keep telling me how small my bump is. Admittedly its not huge especially for a fourth pregnancy - but it is really annoying when people comment and it's making me paranoid. Having braxton hicks too, especially at night and all parts of my body keep going numb from laying on it. not sure on the raspberry leaf tea as never had it.

Feeling a bit sore down below and i think it is all a bit swollen (TMI I know) - not helped by varicose veins. Just been to midwife who says everything looks ok - measuring 32 cm which she says is OK.

More newbies - must have been a good Christmas!!

I know exactly what you mean 3kids - how EXACTLY is telling me my bump is small helping? Do you know my history of small babies? Do you not know that it worries me when I have had a hideously stressful pregnancy anyway through matters that you don't know about?
The next person to ask gets it with both barrels me thinks :D. Poking them in the eye may be quicker however.
Also know what you mean about all the tenderness and stuff - although frankly I think I'd rather not know if it turns out I do have dodgy veins......
And congrats on somebody actually telling you something positive for a change about your measurements! Glad it's all ok (again sounds like mine, slightly under but apparently ok). How many times do you have to ask these things to have your mind at rest for goodness sake?
    Rant over.
And finally - I frontlined our cats when pregnant with ds when I shouldn't have (and rubbed it in). He is ok (and bug free!)
Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early :D
  • Hope your ok Choc

Anybody's bump been reacting to music yet? I decided to put on classical music this morning rather than having Phillip and fern waffling on all morning, but have had to amend my choices quite quickly! I put a pastoral by Beethoven on thinking it would be a nice chilled one, but it was full of dah DAH DAHHHHHHHs and made baba jump out of his skin lol.

Going to give Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring a go then experiment with The Flaming Lips. :D

  • Hi everyone,

we really must do something as this forum is far too quiet for my liking.

Hi Bun, i am going to go to fetch the kids from school with a cushion under my coat - let's see what people say then!! Not really but would love to just to see what the reactions are.

Been spending, spending and more spending as well as taking advantage of the Boots 75% sale i have bought loads of baby bits including travel system, steriliser, moses basket and bedding, clothes, nappies, asda baby box, rocker, baby mats etc. Really trying not to go overboard but still seemed to have spent a fortune. All i need now is a cot mattress and car seat base for the car. Not bought that many clothes but until i know how big baby is i really don't see the point. Desparately fed up of being pregnant now, just want baby to come so that i can see that he is alright - i hope. Hopefully this last 6 weeks will go really fast. Anybody else been spending? OH doesn't understand that i try to buy with vouchers, best offers, etc. he just sees the money vanishing from our account. We did get the sure start maternity grant though so that has really helped, although i have spent far more.

Been trying to do all those jobs that i never get round to - like printing of photos, sorting drawers, buying presents in advance so i haven't got to think about things. Anybody else the same?

    Hope everyone else is OK.

Hi everyone, hope nobody minds me gatecrashing to ask a quick question. Its about this metallic/weird taste I keep seeing come up as a pg symptom, what I want to know is if anyone ever gets it as a pre-menstrual symptom? The reason I want to know is I've had it for the past two days (ick!) having never experienced it before, pregnant or otherwise! I've not got any fillings nor on any medication (been reading up as you can tell lol!) and not likely to be PG (am actually due on today and all normal signs are present) so if its not normal for PMT I dunno what to put it down to lol!!!

    Ta for any replies. x
