Hi girls!
Can i join you please!
Me and DH have been TTC for over 2 years... finally got BFP last week...well, 3 BFP's actually, and one very dark one last night. Don't know what my due date is as i'm normally quite irregular - thinking around 11th Sept though. Tbh, i am a total nervous wreck at the moment iykwim... whilst reading nice pregnancy stuff on the net, there's so much stuff about how common m/c is aswell, and i know personally quite a few people who've been through this - im trying so hard to keep a postive mental attitude but it's so hard, and another 7 or 8 weeks away seems like an eternity.
Please can you all pray for me lol! I've got my first midwife apt tomorrow.. the GP didn't tell me i needed to book in with her from 8 weeks onwards, so i think i've messed up and booked a ridiculously early appointment, to which she'll prob think i'm wasting her time lol.
Looking forward to getting to know you all xx0 -

Of course we can pray for you
I know what you are saying, having lost a pregnancy a couple of years ago, the early weeks seem to go on forever.
Just an idea, but what I did with this pregnancy was phoned my local BUPA (Spire) hospital and booked a private scan at six weeks. It really helped to put my mind at rest. At six weeks, you can have a scan "through your tummy" (you just need a full bladder) and you can see the heart beating away and that everything is at least in the right place (which obviously increases the chances of having a healthy full term pregnancy). The baby still looks like a baked bean lol, but I found it extremely reassuring. Cost was £95......but to me, for the peace of mind it brought, it was well worth every penny."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Congratulations to the new mummies and all the new mummies to be :j
Well im still feeling poorly and very stressed but my Grandad is now out of hospital, so not as much that i have to do now - apart from try to sleep!
The Health Visitor is coming to see me between 11am and 1pm today but its almost 12.30 and still no sign  and pacing to and from the window is doing my nerves no good at all.
Only 1 week and 5 days until due date :heart: I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
Argh, thought I might have just seen you at the clinic - the girl with the next appointment to me had the same Christian name as you and it made me wonder!
I'm off to have my blood pressure monitored this afternoon, grr! Could have done without spending the afternoon at the hospital but my bp is rather on the high side today and when she rechecked it hoping it would have gone down it had gone up! Also had protein in the urine sample, so spose had better be on the safe side. Funnily though today is the first day I haven't had any form of headaches for ages. Wonder how long it will take? Better arrnage for my Mam to collect DD from school...0 -
Not sure if anyone can help me. I don't have pain when i wee but sometimes it feels like i am desperate but it takes ages for it to come out. I do have veins down below and i know baby is pressing his head there, but not really experienced it before. Thanksnow mum of 4!!!0

Congrats on new babies and newly pregnant ladies!
I have six weeks to go now, am huge for me,and now very uncomfortable. Am going to punch the next person who says I have a small bump. Was kept up nearly all night (again) with low braxton hicks. Didn't have many with ds and it is now getting quite wearing. Also having problems weeing 3kids, so must be our stage. Seem to be bursting but then very little there.
Re scanning, we went to Babyscan in Portsmouth who were excellent. They are on www.4dbabyscan.co.uk.
Can anyone remember when you can start taking raspberry leaf tea?Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0 -
Im always wondering if im going to bump into you at the clinic but no wonder you thought it was me with the same name!
I hope everything goes ok for you at the hospital, im sure it will be fine but best to be on the safe side. When she sent me in a few weeks ago she rang them up and i got seen as soon as i arrived but i was there hours being monitored. I went to UHND but your probably going to the midwife unit.
Still no sign of the Health Visitor :heart: I love my gorgeous little girl0 -

Another useful tip for getting your body ready for pregnancy is to get your cervix to thin and dilate. You can start doing this from 28 weeks by imagining it getting thinner and dilating. You can also mentally speak to it, tell it what to do, know that it's doing that, and feel that it's doing it too. In fact any way that you can get it to thin and dilate using your mind the better. So every so often throughout the day just think about it getting on with its job. I've been telling mine for months that at 28 weeks it's going to have to start thinning and dilating - we're on a good understanding! LOL! It works because it uses similar techniques as hypnosis. I hope this helps too! xxxBaby Ember
