Hi Ella Ella Ella,
I hope your Grandad is on the mend. Keep your midwife fully informed of how you feel/any effects and they will keep a close eye on you and bubs. My lot have been great during mine (we suffered a bereavement amongst other things) and they have been very supportive. Try and get a bit of 'me' time -you are important too.Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0 -

Hi girls,
I'm just posting to have a bit of a moan really. I had convinced myself that I was pregnant as I was over a week late and some symptoms ie sore heavy breasts and discomfort arouund my ovaries. Although the urine preg test was showing -ve. Yesterday morning in work I statred bleeding and went down to the GP. I couldn't see my usual female GP. I explained to the doctor that I thought that I was pregnant and now bleeding. He told me that the urine tests were 100% accurate and that I'd convinced myself in my head that I was pregnant and thats why I had a late period and symptoms. He told me that the symptoms that I was having was normal PMT. He did a blood test and I've just had the result which again was -ve. Yesterday afternoon I was passing loads of blood, membrane and a clot (sorry tmi). Its not like a heavy period. I just dont know what to think anymore.
I'm ok about things, I know if I was preg that it was very early days. MC's are common and I'm still only 20 so plenty of time ect. I hadn't had a chance to get my hopes up too much as I was still waiting for that +ve test. I just feel silly if I have just made it all up in my head.
Thanks for listening. xxx0 -
Hi lwcus78, hope you're ok xx
Im sure i read that the test would still show up as +ive even if you did mc, your hormones surely would still be all over the place. Are you sure its not just a heavy period-as ive had heavy months where ive had clots etc and the heavy boobs/aches pains? stress and many other factors can affect your cycle and even how heavy the period is when it does appear.
I hope everything works out for you though, big hugs.

Thanks keelykat,
I've never had a period like this before. They've never been this heavy with clots. I was so sure that I was pregnant but I just dont know anymore. I'm going away this weekend and we'll start trying again after next month. Just to give myself a bit of time just incase it was a very early mc. Thank for support xx0 -

I know how it feels, we're ttc and its easy to look into things too much sometimes and think its something worse ie a mc. I hope it isnt a mc that youve had, and just a strange period. Up untill last month my periods were pretty regular, we started ttc and then they have gone all wierd-me thinking ohhh i must be pregnant because im 4 days late! and then sadly it appeared later that day! So i feel as confused as you do probably about the whole thing. Im now 2 days late again, but im not getting any hopes up.
Good lucklets hope we both get some good news soon!

Has anybody talked to a health professional, i.e. midwife about what happens if we get the norovirus (winter bug) that is going round at the moment. I know of children in my kids school who have got it and as it is highly contagious i am a bit worried about what happens if i get it at 33 weeks pregnant. Thanks
All this talk of periods reminds me about them - i am really not looking forward to having one every month again.now mum of 4!!!0
