Please pm me if you have as I feel this post will get lost in the thread quite easily as its such a popular thread!

I just looked that up, and am I right in thinking it's just a lubricant that doesn't kill sperm, or is it actually meant to aid the sperm travelling?Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0

Have had very long labours with both my two and starting to think I can't face it again. (I know I have to but wold rather not think about it!)
Got an appointment with midwife tomorrow to find out if baby is still breech - I haven't a clue whether he is or isn't - just seem to have lumps sticking out all over the place!
Oh and by the way, i said in an earlier post but you might have missed it, if you want to talk / moan / complain feel free to PM me. I'm hapy to listen
Thanks Choc, i may just take you up on that. Things seem to be going from bad to worse for me at the moment.
My Granda has been very poorly but this last week he has been rushed into hospital twice, last Thursday after a funny turn and this Monday with suspected Meningitis. I was so worried about the baby as i had been in constant contact with him for 6 days prior, helping my mam look after him.
I have had to do loads of driving (which is nigh on impossible!) and have family stay over and im just so tired and i dont know how much more i can do before breaking down.
Anyway congratulations :j to all the new mummies, Becky & Shelvis - you both look fab!! i cant beleive you have both just given birth. I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
Hi everyone,
I haven't posted for a while so congratulations to all those that have had their babys.:j
I was just wondering if anyones had this too, I went to my routine midwife appointment this morning and was told my blood pressure was 140/90 she left it a little while and took it again and it was still the same, I now have to go back in the morning to have it taken again if its the the same they are going to send me to the daycare unit, i was wondering if anyone else has had this and what they do at the daycare unit , will they just monitor my blood pressure? I have no idea why it would be so high i dont feel stressed or anything infact its the most relaxed ive felt in ages, think it didn't help that two days ago my eye sight went funny and i guess they need to rule anything serious out im hopeful when i get to the doctors tomorrow it will be back to normal.
Thanks in advance for any help

yes on both parts really. it doesn't act like a barrier like most lubricants, but it mimics ewcm, the moer you have of this the easier the sperm find their way. some women have said when they use it there is no leakage iykwim after intercourse. so the more sperms that stay inside the better chance you have of conceiving.Fight for clean hospitals, C-DIFF takes lives

Hi I know this is the pregnancy thread but wondering if anyone who has had a baby could offer advice (sorry in advance if tmi) had baby almost 4 weeks ago and bleeding had started to die down but yesterday passed quite a large clot and then tonight bleeding got a bit heavier and passed another clot did this happen with anyone else? was wondering if it could be my first period ( I am now bottlefeeding) did anyone else have first period this soon after birth? was first period a lot heavier than usual?
any info appreciated
im seeing my MW tomorrow. i gave birth just over a week ago and the bleeding had stopped on sunday but now its heavy again. ill ask my MW and report back. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
Went for my scan today and baby is no longer breech, yay! His head hasn't engaged though, so she put in my notes when I go see the midwife next week if his head is still free to refer me back to consultant so they can check whether the fibroids they saw on 20 week scan are a problem. I seem to remember DS and DD didn't engage until I was practically in labour, so not too worried!
I am having loads, and I mean LOADS of Braxton hicks though - my stomach muscles feel as if they are aching with the amount I've had - it's practically every time I move or the baby moves. Didn't have any with DS or DD. Anyone else had so many it makes their whole stomach ache??? (I'm hoping it's going to mean I have a super strong uturus and won't have a long labour this time!)0 -
for anyone suffering with pelvis and back pains wile walking i talked to my midwife about mine and shes told me to wear the kind of pants that suck ur tummy in but a size bigger than i would normally wear as these hold the pelvis together aslong as ur belly isnt squashed of course as these do the same job as maternity ones sold in mothercare and are cheaper she recommened martins to me.
i hope this helps someone else aswell as just me pelvis and back problems are a nightmare.
ive been told to struggle on till 34 weeks if possible but only walking to a shop half and hour away doing shopping and coming back left me unable to walk for a few hours after so i am going to seek a doctors advice for physio as i dont want to end up unable to walk.
i would also suggest looking in your local markets and newspapers the free ads as well for people giving baby things away i gave alot of my stuff to people using the free ads last year and i asked friends and family for thier baby things after they had finished as much of it was unworn etc.
charity shops also have been a godsend for me, and budgeting and not going mad on the best looking best prams and best gadgets and things as many of them you dont need but would like.riley john born june 28th 2.35pm-8lb14.5 hour labour from waters to birth.0
