Baby Stephen arrived after 38 weeks weighing 7lb 4oz on Jan 7th. Had a fantastic labour thanks to a wonderful drug callecd diamorphine!

Congratulations Nicola! Hope you and Stephen are doing well! :j

I second the diamorphine magic! (although I later went on to have an epidural too! :o).

My SIL commented that she would never take such drugs in case it harmed the baby (just what you want to hear ) but........she gave birth yesterday and guess what? She had the full drug cocktail of everything they offered! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Hi all
I dont know if this is the best place to post this, but was just wondering if anyone has seen a cheapish wicker moses basket in any of the sales. I was gutted to see i missed out on one reduced from £70 to £35 at john lewis.http://www.johnlewis.com/+Clearance/+Clearance/Nursery/Nursery/3891/230232711/Product.aspx
I am after a basket that looks similar to this one

I have used this company quite a few times without any problems.

Hi, This happened to me after 2-3 weeks, I rang my midwife and she said that I had probably just started doing more and walking around more so therefore the uterus had become more efficient at getting rid of any debris, they did want to check me over (temperature etc) just to be on the safe side and rule out infection but everything was fine and it died down again the next day.

Maybe just give your midwife a quick call just to tell her whats happened and they can go from there. I'm sure it's fine though :D

  • Hi
Can I ask other mums a question here?
Im due in early august with my secong and I swear I feel as though im showing already:confused:
stomach is bloated but feels kinda firm?
    Surely its too early?
But on another baby site it said you can show from 6 weeks with your second and third etc births???
Anyone else having this or is it just me who has eat all the pies here:rotfl: :rotfl:

With my second and third pregnancies I started showing almost immediately, couldn't fit into my jeans and had to hurriedly run out and buy maternity clothes!! so yes, perfectly normal and you can carry on eating all the pies! ;) :rotfl:

Hmmm, i'm on my first and only 8 weeks and I've been huuuuge since 6 weeks -when I found out!! I feel like I should tell everyone because they're all just thinking I've eaten too many chocs over christmas- which to be fair I probably did but I'm sure its not all that!
  • Hello ladies, I had no idea this thread existed! Anyway I'm currently pregnant with my second due on 6th April. I had been saving all the clothes from when I had my son (a lot of them never worn) on the offchance that this next one would be a boy, however we found out a few weeks ago that we are expecting a girl. I've been through all the old clothes and picked out a few bits that I can use again, mainly whites and neutrals.

Now, normally I would have no hesitation in buying second hand stuff from ebay but my husband has a thing about buying second hand baby clothes so I'm going to have to buy all new. Does anyone know where is the best place online to get cheap baby clothes. All the places I've looked at are expensive for what you get.

I don't know about online jools, but Boots is deffo worth a look for baby clothes in the sale at the moment. I had a look in there today and there were lots around £2-3.
