  • So about asking this TMI ALERT TMI ALERT!!!

What did your show look like? I have just been to loo and although I have had tons of discharge and am wet through all the time (have to use pantyliner) this was a bit different. Sat proud on the TP and looked a bit like the egg-white mucous you get at ovulation. Was a couple of blobs. White/clearish. Is this it?

Well Shelvis now I've been there and done it I can answer your question as a true PROFESSIONAL lol :rotfl:
I had mine a week before i had Ellie and although at classes you are told it will be bloodstained or pinkish/brown, mine wasn't. Mine was just a big blob of yellowish/ whitish gunk!!
I actually went onto the parents club thread to ask other mums what thier show had been and a few said that what I was describing sounded like theirs.
So yes Shelvis looks like you have had a show. Might have a baby soon.
    Good luck

Happy New Year everybody, can't remember if I posted it or not :o

    Congratulations Scruffy!

Shelvis - I had two, one a couple of days before proceedings that basically looked liked snot (ie as described) and then one with tiny bit of blood on the actual morning, when my contractions got going. Good luck!

Hello to all newbies ttc and just joined.

To all who are overdue - I have a tip. Based on the last two days with my post-Christmas hyper son (aged 3), borrow a small child, ask it to do things you know it happily can and normally does, and when it does exactly the opposite to see what will happen as Father Christmas had now been so no need to behave, bellow a bit and ta-da! Braxton Hicks. I'm only 32 weeks, I don't think Bubs will be able to stay in for another 8 the rate I'm going.
Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early :D

I'm still here, still pregnant :) I beginning to think it's just wind....

eta - Bun do I really need to borrow a small child? there are three in the house already and they're bad enough!
  • Congratulations Scruffy on the birth of Ellie :j and hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year.

Only 17 more babies to come before its my turn (Choc i count us as one)

Im still feeling completley rotten, really stressed out and quite down. I have also started to get the phone calls asking if i have had the baby yet which is really annoying - does my mother really think i would give birth, come home and forget to mention it

When did/will others start doing the bits and bobs to get labour going? is it only safe after 40 weeks? I have been asking the baby to come out a little bit early but she doesnt seem to be listening...
 I love my gorgeous little girl

Good grief, you brave woman. I'm already getting jokes about no 2 being as 'energetic' (ahem) as no 1. Saying that thoughI know several families with four children and they're all well behaved. He is a sweetie but does have his moments.....

Wow, you are the complete opposite to me! I laid awake most of last night panicking that I'm not ready for the baby to come yet and it might be soon! Have had very long labours with both my two and starting to think I can't face it again. (I know I have to but wold rather not think about it!)

Got an appointment with midwife tomorrow to find out if baby is still breech - I haven't a clue whether he is or isn't - just seem to have lumps sticking out all over the place!

Oh and by the way, i said in an earlier post but you might have missed it, if you want to talk / moan / complain feel free to PM me. I'm hapy to listen
  • I have just seen midwife and apparently my little boy might be breech now. I have to have scan on friday to see if he is. They have already told me he is huge and at least 9lb 4oz according to size so huge and bum first does NOT sound fun in my book!!!
