  • Well girlies,
Woke this morning @ 6.20 and was slightly wet, then when I stood up OMG it gushed (sorry if TMI). I phoned labour ward but because my contractions hadn't started i was put through to the assesment ward, they said as I'm only 36+5 to come in. Went in got put on monitor for an hour then examined I was 2 cm dilated. 9.10am I was allowed to go home but stay as active as poss. Been for a walk with the dog going shopping then to wash the car!! Curry for me tonight!!

    Hope everyone else is well.

Nicola1982 I can tell you all the aches and pains ur gettin is probably the start of it coz that is what I've been feeling the past couple of days!! Good Luck x

Can I ask you all about your weight gain in pregnancy? I'd really like to know how much people put on at the half way stage (I have put on half a stone at 22 weeks), and how much they had gained at about 38 weeks.

I am trying to be sensible and not stuff my face, but also get enough nutrition for the baby. But being big to start with (I was 12 and a half stone pre-pregnancy) I just want to get in good habits so its not too difficult to lose after the birth. Had just started gym and swimming every day and was very focused on getting fit when I found out I was preggers lol.

How are you all doing with weight gain?

I was the same weight as you and, at 22wks, have also put on about a half stone. Think that will increase over the hols though :rotfl: . My MW has told me to eat sensibly and healthily, avoiding all know foodstuffs which can cause problems. To continue with any exercise regime you had beforehand (within reason) but ultimately, this is not a time to worry about weight. I'm not going to stress out about it until the New Year when I will cut out all the crap I have delveloped a taste for (mince pies, toblerone etc) and get back on the wagon again.

Is this your first machairs? We shall have to keep tabs on each other being due in the same week. Will get back to swimming in the New Year and keep eating healthy(ish).

Good luck scruffy. Sounds like there will be some christmas babies on the boards!
