I think its weird things happen to us just in pregnancy too. For something that is supposed to be so very natural to us it sure isn't easy! I mean why on earth does it make us feel so sick with morning sickness?? We have been doing this for thousands of years (having babies) so how come evolution hasn't made this stuff all easier!! It amazes me. I am a scientist and still spend loads of time fascinated by stuff like this it isn't just you scruffy!! I just can't start thinking about planets or how big the universe is or I get headaches0

Ok girlies, not sure how you would all normally wrap your crimbo pressies but I would usually sit cross legged on the floor. For obvious reasons this year I couldn't and found the ironing board a great way of doing it. Sit on the sofa and lower the ironing board to your prefered height and hey presto, your comfy while wrapping the pressies!! Everyone kept saying to me get OH to do it, eh no chance not unless I wanted to buy shares in a sellotape company :rotfl: :rotfl:Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070

Ha ha that's funny. 2 years running I had blood on my pressies because my hubby cut his finger on the scissors. For my anniversary last year he gave me my pressie between 2 pillows instead of wrapping it. Safer!! Do not let hubby do it!!
Ironing board was great idea!! I wrapped mine weeks ago when I still could bend forward. Thank good ness I did as that ship has now sailed and I couldn't wrap them on the floor now.0 -

Some feel their babies kicking anything from 16ish weeks. I didn't really feel anything noticeable until after 20 weeks. Even then you will be thinking ooh was that what I think it was!? But as they grow & the kicks become stronger & more regular there is no mistaking it! "Ouch" is what you will soon be thinking. At 38 weeks I now wake up feeling like a victim of domestic abuse everyday!:rotfl:
Anyway...how are we all? It's quiet here again! Are you all out Christmas shopping or what?I've spent the weekend at home doing nothing really.
On another note I think the bump has dropped!:T It doesn't feel as high up today. Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -

I felt weird things at 14 weeks - felt like wind going through my poo pipes :rotfl: sorry but it did!! Proper kicks and things came later on but every woman is different and how strong i felt things (or if at all) depended on his position inside my belly. Some cold water usually got him moving if I hadn't felt anything in a while and panicked. Couldn't feel it externally though at 20 weeks so hubby couldn't feel it.
There is no mistaking it now of course but then you can see my belly move up and down!! Did you see him/her move on your scan? Could you feel it then?? When I went for 12 weeki scan he was moving all over the place and I couldn't feel anything!!0 -

It can be at different times. I felt this one really early, like flutters inside, but didn't really feel my first two until 20 weeks or so. Even though I could feel the baby moving this time it was ages before anyone esle culd feel it as the placenta is apparently lying at the front therefore blocking the kicks. Even now I feel more movement into my bladder than anywhere but can also usually feel a hard round lump (either head or bottom, i presume) just under my ribs on the right.0 -
Chocoholic - I'm the same as you... my placenta is at the front and I feel all the movement down towards my bladder and its only been this last week my oh has been able to feel the kicks even though I thought they were really strong. ( I'm 25+1)
( but I have been able to feel tiny movements from really early on... dont remember my dd being this active but I love it)
