  • Good luck MrsW hope it all goes well for you. I can imagine my OH will panic more than me as well!! All the best.

Ok got 3 hours sleep last night this itching is just driving me up the walls. Calomine lotion (as suggested by midwife) thats a laugh!! Might go buy E45 as someone on here suggested, have to go get supply of rennies so will get some E45 at the same time.

    Good luck MrsW!

Still no movement here, and at MW appointment yesterday they said I had protein in my urine. So, up the hospital we went, and they agreed. But I have no other signs of pre-eclampsia, blood pressure is 120/80 which is actually lower than it was at booking, no headaches etc. They took a whole load of blood and urine samples and I have to go back tomorrow.

What else can cause protein in urine? MW at hospital said that if it is still high tomorrow, they may want to induce if they think baby is at risk? Just a bit panicky now.

I also heard that late babies run in the family - my mum and her sister were both born late and both of my sisters and all of my cousins were also born late. Looks like this one is going to make me wait. So I AM going to moan. Excuse me in advance ;_0

Off to try nipple stimulation. :-)

  • Probably too late for you to see but Good luck Mrs W!

Appointments must be different everywhere as mine are still every 4 weeks until nearer the end. They work out as an appointmnent at 8, 12 (scan), 16, 20 (scan), 24, 28, 32, 35, 37, 39, 41 (hopefully not!!)

Unless they are scans they are all with the midwife - I don't see the doctor at all. Though I remember with DS a lot of years ago the appointmnets were shared between hospital, midwife and GP. Think I prefer just seeing midwife though and hopefully will have baby in the midwifery led unit.
  • re buying on ebay: would you all rather buy bundles of clothes with loads in it or a couple of pieces but obviously a lot cheaper postage?

Its only cos I've got a load of bodysuits and sleepsuits that Charlie's hardly worn but no longer fit him and i'd rather sell them and get a little bit of money to put towards his christmas presents and new clothes

:heart2:Toby born Apr and taken by SMA Dec 2012
    :heart2: Baby boy failed M/C @ 20 wks Oct 2013 :heart2: Sienna born Oct 2014
  • Scruffy i would recommend buying the E45 shower wash as well as the cream, if i shower without it the itching becomes much worse again so worth a try.

Choc Not sure when my HV appointment is as they dont know who will be seeing me with where i live - im obviously the first and only person to have a baby up here

and good luck Mrsw82, will be checking for news all day!
 I love my gorgeous little girl

Morning all I can't believe MrsW82 was on here whilst in labour!:rotfl: that's brilliant :)
GOOD LUCK if by any chance you do get to see this although I suspect your OH has whisked you off to hospital by now.

Hi Claire I would say put them in sizes and sell them as a large bundle. If I was buying for my baby I would want things that are in sizes as there's no point buying something that is 0-3 months along with stuff that is 6-12 or more if that makes sense. Other than that I think people like the big bundles.

    Hi all

Congrats to those who are in labour, hope it all goes swiftly!

Ebay Bundles- I've got some brilliant bargains in the past. I've bought mostly unisex as I didn't know the sex and bedding bundles. All have been either hardly worn or brandnew and would have cost at least triple to buy new in the shops.

Sinusitus - DH phoned the doc for me. This was a compromise on my part. He wanted to phone NHS 24 who would have phoned maternity and I would have then ended up being admitted I think. I was crying with pain on Monday night and he was really worried. I had meningitis with ds2 and acute phylophenitis with ds1 so admission to hospital in the middle of the night + pregnancy has become routine. However, ds1 is a worrier and so am I so for his benefit, I bit my lip and we comprimised. Doc spoke to me on the phone and has prescribed antiobiotics.

On a lighter note, our new stroller has arrived. After much umming an awing we have decided on the Phil and Ted with double kit. ds2 will not be big enough to walk or stay on buggy board for any distance. Spoken to real people who have it and read loads of reviews. Not had a chance to use it much but hope to get out at the weekend.

My daughter doesn't seem to be interesting in posting here at the moment. (maybe she will when she finishes work) so i've added her to the list myself!

I'm going with her for her 20 week scan next week and I can't wait :j

I wonder how MrsW82 is getting on?
Same old same old since 2008

  • OOOOHHH MRSW woo hoo hope its all going well!!

I have had my 34 week check up today. Looks like I may have a water infection she is sending my sample off. I must admit I did suspect as I have been going to the toilet more than nornal recently although it isnt painful or anything. The midwife thinks I might be offered an elective caesarian based on the babies size at the growth scan. She said they normally have 2 options, planned caesarian and when i start naturally to see if i can do it then have caesarian if need be. I think I would rather go with planned as I dont want to put the baby under any duress unecessarily but I will talk to the consultant at my next growth scan in a couple of weeks.

Shattered today. Could be the 3 vials of blood the midwife stole from me! No doubt when i go to bed i will still be wide awake though!! Grrr.
  • had a 'funny turn' earlier where i felt faint and sick with lights in my eyes but i was sat down and had been for about 20 minutes it just came on suddenly. I have felt faint before but it was when i was standing still for a while. After about half an hour i was ok, was wondering if it could be my blood pressure, pre eclampsia or something like that - gonna call the midwife tomorrow.

As i mentioned the other day i haven't like to call my midwife and when i did the other day she was on a course, so hopefully i won't have changed my mind about ringing tomorrow and will be able to get a visit.
    now mum of 4!!!
