Sounds excellent! Glad it went well for you.
It makes you want to get the baby now though, doesn't it?!0 -

Hi all,
erm, expecting my first child on 12th July next year. im a very nervours mother to be! i dont have a scan until the 17th December, and it cant come quick enough! we have decided only to tell our parents until we have had this scan, which is very difficult! cant wait to tell our friends and the rest of our family!
does anyone have any advice for me at the moment in terms of cats? we have a 3 year old cat and 2 9 week old kittens and to be honest i am reading so much conflicting information!
how do I add myself to the list?
thanks
Congratulations! I have always had cats when pregnant - just don't touch the poop - either get OH to do it or always wear rubber gloves. Also be careful if you are gardening when they go out as the poop may be in the soil too. I also just put a bit of antiseptic on any bites or scratches too to be on the safe side.Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0 -
Thanks guys :j
I have had two of the pictures, one with a perfectly clear face and one of her laughing, enlarged and framed, i just cant stop looking at her and i cant wait until she is born.
Choc, i feel as though i have met her and connected with her, did you feel like that? God im gotta start crying again just thinking how perfect she is - how soft am I lol. It sounds silly but its as though i have just realised she's a proper little baby
Im so sorry to keep going on about the scan but i if your thinking about having one i would go for it as its worth every single penny. I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
Yup, that's exactly how I felt. I feel like I "know" this baby already because of the scan and knowing what his name will be. And even though we couldn't see his whole face that clearly last time (he kept covering one eye) I didn't mind too much because it means we get to see him again. With my first two, yes I was aware I was haing a baby but it was a vague idea of something that was going to happen rather than being real.
That all sounds a bit mad but i know what I mean!!0 -
hello, I've been lurking for a while but haven't posted for months. I've had a really odd day and just feel like I need to talk. I'm 38weeks gone, and have been on maternity leave for a fortnight. I've been having a good time - things are getting rather uncomfy but I've been out with my parents for coffee and a mooch around most days, and getting a little done every day. Today I just feel IN A PANIC. I couldn't even tell you about what. About nothing, or everything. I feel like I could cry, or scream, but couldn't say why.
Also (sorry if TMI) I've had constipation for months but have suddenly headed in the other direction. Do you think it could be the first sign of labour? Or is that just me being hopeful?0 -
Time keeping is fine i work my hours plus half hour each day extra without any extra pay
Apparently they want me to take more initative and do things without being told,
i was temping here for 2 months before they offered me a permanent position with a probation period, and i havent chnaged since, so i am not sure i have been here since march....
Its a tough call whether you want to tell them you are pg now, as they have already planted the seed regarding your 'lack of initative' so if they did decided to sack you for this reason, you couldn't say it was pg related (although I see how your pg state can affect your 'attitude' to work). My whole structure / operating system changed 5 weeks before my maternity leave started, and on one hand I didn't have the energy for the massive upheaval, but also on the other side, it was a case of learn all this stuff (and get on top of it), only to leave and forget it all in time for me to go back to work next year). I couldn't have timed my leaving for a worser period. LOL
Do you feel that you can do 'more' without being told ? Can you take over something that someone else has been doing ?0 -
Ooh gemmaj i know exactly how you feel cos i'm having one of them days too! Can't put my finger on what's the matter, all & nothing type feeling! It's horrible! I feel a group hug coming on. :grouphug: Hopefully we will feel much better tomorrow! xOur 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
Dentist said is sinusitus!! So went back to the GP and have been given antibiotics and told to go over steam lots. It's horrible. I've had this cold for 2 weeks and don't know how I have blocked a sinus when I have been producing snot for britain the entire time (TMI sorry)
Anyway hopefully on the mend now and hopefully the swelling that is pushing on the roots of my teeth will disappear in a day or two.Baby Boy due 4/3/08
