I had my 20 week scan a few of weeks ago and was told the same thing, I have had a little read up about it and it seems that generally 90% of placentas move into the right position by about 34/36 weeks. We were just told to contact the delivery suite immediately if there is any sign of blood, just in case. I am not too bothered about it I am just looking at it as another opportunity to see the little one again on telly in 10 weeks.

Home Birth option is now out as am now 10 days late ( ). I am now onto trying not to be induced or have an elective cs (Had an emergency one with DS and took months to recover any sort of strength despite no obvious complications). Am only against induction as that caused the CS last time - did not go into labour even just straight to bb in distress and full on middle of the night emergency op.

So am now going in Sat for poss sweep - followed by scan on Monday if still needed then daily monitoring...obviously I am hoping Baby decides to come today!!!!!!!!

tsstss - if you've set your heart on a home birth could you fight for one? 10 days isn't very late (oh I know it feels like it!) and as anything between 37 and 42 weeks is considered TERM it's not technically late at all... are you sure of your dates? a day or two doesn't seem much at the beginning of pregnancy but certainly matters at the end... sending labour vibes your way anyhow.

minor update now we've chosen a name and can stop calling him 'the baby' a week old and his hands and feet are finally looking less wrinkled, bless him

So the November babies can start giving their mums contractions, ooh, about now? Come on babies!

well.... went to pick up my paperwork for next week and had a word with a midwife while we were there,
she had a bit of a grope and said that she thought he was now head down again, so we were discussing options and things... then she had another feel and couldnt decide which was up he was after all!
so it really will be at my appointment at the antenatal assesment unit next wednesday before we have any idea how im delivering! and knowing this little monkey he will probably keep everyone guessing til i arrive at the hospital on thursday! :rolleyes:

im starting to think i would rather labour normally now than have the section, but its not up to me! its all down to Danny now
