Blimey CG, you're jumping up the queue aren't you..... MW's EDD was yesterday and nothing happened... next milestone is scan EDD which is Friday but think my little one has decided its warmer tucked inside as no sign of arrival yet....plus OH keeps telling me not to have baby on one of his rest days so not sure when to expect new arrival !
Keep thinking about updating list but dont want to miss anyone out...where's Septemberbaby when you need her....Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
I've made an appointment to see the GP about my burning bump. Unfortunately it is only Monday, as the only slot tomorrow conflicts with my hairdressing appointment, and I am in so much need of a little bit of pampering, and I also really don't want to scare the groom away before he has said his vows - my SIL is getting married tomorrow too.
Rince, I hang my head in shame, for more reasons than just my misread.
Yes, and we desparately need a list update. I daren't risk it.0 -
Hi all,
What a week we have had..........but worth every hour of lost sleep as our son is amazing, we are waking up every morning like its Christmas.
We feel lik we have won the jackpot.
Can anyone remember the name of the twins on the blog spot website?
Thanks for all your well wishes and good vibes.Max Millionaire191 007:T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T0 -
Blimey CG, you're jumping up the queue aren't you.....
well, he tried even harder this morning to get out,
after i posted on here i went to get ready for my normal MW appointment and ended up on the floor having severe palpitations again (regular viewers of my soap opera will remember this happened before in June)
we just made it to the doctors and my MW said we should call the hospital and go back to be checked over again
OH has called them but they dont really want me, and honestly i dont really want to go in, its all gone away so my results will be the same as last night anyway (minus the contractions)
they are phoning back in 10 mins... we shall see if i get to spend the rest of the day on the sofa with a big old milkshake, or strapped to a monitor
*EDITED TO ADD* - well, big old milkshake here i come! if i feel weird or it happens again then we will go straight in (i havent been through all of this to jepardise my baby at this late stage) but im now going to spend the rest of the day doing eff all but flumping on the sofa,
oh and i suppose i should phone the family and tell them that my son will be born on 8th November
TWO WEEKS TODAY!!!!! (ok, technically he coould come earlier... but it will be no later!)0 -
Well CG, I hope it goes as you want it to, whatever happens. I can't quite get the image of 'flapping in the breeze' out of my mind though!!! LOL.....
Good luck to the others of you who are nearing 'the time'.
There seems to be such a constant stream of people ready to pop. It's quite bizarre as I've still got 118 days to go! At least I'll be more prepared by hearing all your stories! xxxBaby Ember

Hey, that my date, not yours. You can't have it !!!!
Seriously though, chuffed to hear you have an end in sight. Strange how they only give you a date one day before your EDD, seem have a lot of confidence in you going over.
Do they know something that they are forgetting to tell all us on MSE about ?0 -
OOh 8th November how exciting!! Come on all you guys who are ready let's have some more birth news!!
I am having no luck trying to find a moses basket cover. I was given a moses basket and i bought a new mattress like a good new mummy to be but the covers are a bit tatty and pink (i am having a boy!) I thought it would be fairly easy to buy a new set of linings or dressings but i can't find them anywhere without having to buy the whole blooming lot (including basket and mattress!). mothercare, babies r us nowheere sells them seperately. It's doing my head in i just want some plain ones. Anyone know where you can buy them??
Legs still sore. Walking is fine as is sitting but getting between the two is very painful! The pain is moving to under my bump now and round my back so i am also looking to buy a bump support but there are so many out there i have to take time chosing. Also the only comfy position to watch TV in is lying on my back so screw all my good advice mates (who have never been pregnant) who insisit i can't lie on my back. I will do whatever is comfy for me and my little monkey! he is still kicking away so he is fine!!0 -
Hi all
CG nov 8th is a pretty good date - and you can still have fireworks parties every year, how great is that.
Am now term plus 3 so the home birth is looking ever more doubtful, only 7 more possible days then it is a hospital birth for me. Good thing is I'd get a halloween baby ....already thinking about poss cute outfits for next years combined trick or treating/b'day party. Older DS will be made up!
Have had twinges but nothing substantial and like you shelvis the spd is fine as long as stay in one position but getting up from bed (which I do alot at night lol) or a chair is not so good.
Hope all is going well with FAC - and then hopefully it will be my turn!!!!MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -
Shelvis you can buy spare covers for your basket on ebay, think they are reasonably priced:p19.6.10 Weight loss 6lb0

Shelvis - at a last attempt could you dye the covers blue? Or maybe you've got a friend who's good at sewing who could make you some to order as a pressie?
I also read somewhere that it's not good to lie on your back whilst pregnant and I thought that surely you would feel in your body if it wasn't good for you (which I don't)?! There are so many stories out there of what you should and shouldn't do that if I followed all of them I'd be living up a mountain, living off only the purest organic sprouted water, air and food, meditating all day every day whilst remaining in a constant yoga position with a house full of every baby contraption ever made, and every birthing option available to me, being waited on hand and foot by a plethora of women feeding me every vitamin, mineral, and food supplement ever made or thought of for a pregnant woman, listening to only calming music, looking at only positive images (no daytime TV!) and of course there'd be no electricity, no internet, no phone and no mobiles, just in case they electromagnetically affected me! We'd only need to be on a wage of about £1 million a year or something. I'd probably end up a complete fruit bat if I were to do that!
The inside of the back of my leg has started hurting too. It feels caught up and nothing I'm doing is making it better. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do? Jiggling my leg sort of makes it feel better but then the whole room shudders too and my little babe probably looks like a wobbling jelly!
More good vibes to those of you waiting your turn.....xxxBaby Ember
