  • Oh SB, what a dream she looks :)

OH and I were up most of the night as I was having the strongest braxton hicks - I was convinced they'd turn into something 'real'

Had my second sweep this afternoon and I am now 2cm dilated - the midwife said everything is ready to go I just need to start having contractions - yeah...
  • CG, I bet as soon as you give birth you will miss being pregnant :rotfl:

    yeah i know, i know... :o
this bit still sucks though :p:D

actually, last time i didnt miss being pregnant... i just missed the bump, being able to stick my belly out and being proud it was all baby... not just all donuts :rotfl:

Okay, I got all excited about jumping up the queue, I neglected to say:

    Congratulations to MrW82, cha97michelle, ella_ella_ella, miss_be and snugglepuss.

Sarah112, just wanted to say welcome to the big world Rowan David, and thank you Joseph for finally making a side door entry for the coolest overdue mum ever - Agutka.

Suzukibabe - best of luck for your decision with regards to having a HB. Now that my time is here, I am a little scared, but I do know the hospital is just down the road.

JustKeepSwimming - I know you posted a little while ago, but the fact that there was no more bleeding AND you were being ill, is a good sign. Lots of baby glue until next Thursday.

Douggie - enjoy buying the blue clothes. Congratulations.

3Kids, I am sure you probably know this by now, but your risk of miscarriage as a result of the anmio really passed within the first few days. Also the other 18 chromosones that they are currently testing for are really rare, and I wasn't even offered them. I hope that when you do get your results, which I appreciate is a long time, that you can relax and enjoy your pg (did I actually say that ????)

CG and ab7167 I so wish my baby was engaged. He/She is floating around and it is so sore right at the top of my bump. It is like a burning pain and I keep trying to push baby down, but there isn't anything there. It must be my organs ??? As a third time rounder, I am unlikely to engage until possibly labour so I have lots more of this to look forward too.

Ophie, I hope your little girl is a delight, and you are enjoying the start of many wonderful journey's with her.

Doobees - spots in your eyes, I would definitely get it checked out by your MW, especially if you have high BP. I have low BP and often get stars (or sparkly things flying around) and always sit down asap until they pass, as I know I had this soon after DS1 was born, and I was found passed out on the floor. I had grazed my nose and face, and looked a terrible sight. They wouldn't let me do anything for myself or baby after that either (hence I got to miss all the first delightful stool nappy changes).

Joe_Millionaire and clarew - I assume you are both still in hospital. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Fac and Ingonito, if you are still around, just drop us a line, even if you don't want to moan (which I know you so want to do, so please do).

GC, argh, I just found out that they have an inset day on the following Monday too, so today is day 1 of a 10 day holiday. Got a busy week anyway. MIL arrives 6am on Monday, and I have a 11:40 MW appointment, so DH is livid with me because I don't want to track all the way down to Heathrow, and SIL gets married on Friday, and f... knows what I am going to wear. Have a dress, but need something to go over it because it is now cold, and I only have smart sandles, so hopefully my chipolator toes don't look too funny, and I have to get the boys a new smart shirt too, so lots of visits to shops, which I can so do without.

And SB, Poppy is truly beautiful.

If I have missed anyone, terribly sorry ...
  • Thanks izoom - you can probably guess from some of my other posts that i am a real big worrier. Trying to put any worry to the back of my mind

My kids had worms about 6 weeks ago and i had them but was unable to take medicine, so extreme hygiene was called for. Last night i discovered that i have them again and must have picked up an egg somewhere a couple of weeks ago because they live quite a long time on things in the house. Really peed off as i thought i had cleaned so much i wouldn't get them again. Gonna check the kids tonight when they are asleep to see if they need to have medicine - if they haven't got them yet i will just keep checking every other night as if it is just me with them i am really careful not to spread. Really don't need this now!!! It just sees to be one thing after another at the mo.
    now mum of 4!!!
  • hmmn.... back ache and period style pains since last night, rock hard bump....
add to that that this would be the most inconvienent weekend to go into labour,

I could be onto something here! lol

naaah, im not really expecting this to turn into anything, would be nice... but im not that lucky!
  • curiousgeorge - if it's an inconvenient weekend then the baby is probably on its way. Kids have a way of causing havoc even before they are born!!

    Good luck.

Despite the stupid name, it might actually not be a bad idea. :o Just you wait until your little guy turns up, CG, and then you'll know all about it! :p (Says a mum to two boys who's been peed on too many times )

Good luck with the red alert, hun :)
  • I have changed quite a few boys nappies, so had already bought some extra flannels just for this purpose! :)

my DD never really had a problem with the cool air hitting her bare bum, but my niece was always the one to wee as soon as you took her nappy off! and ALWAYS when it was me doing it!! (especially when she was very new and there was always someone there watching you do it!)

LOL:rotfl: , you have reminded me.

And little boys don't just wee on you when they are little.

DS1 was being toilet trained and SIL was leaning over him, helping him, and telling him to wee as far as he could (we were outside) and he aimed up really high - straight into her mouth. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
