  • Congratulations SB and jojo, amazing what you miss in a few days!! Just like to add our news and say that the thought of being induced on Tues obv did the trick, and baby Alex finally put in an appearance on Sunday 7th weighing 9lb 1oz, and he's lovely!! (altho obviously biased mum speaking here!)

I have tried to explain that I'm not happy breaking up fights but I just get told not to let them start a fight in the first place (They generally come in from playtime fighting).
Yip. Unions. You should never be expected to break up fights on a regular basis no matter what. And in your situation I would definately be putting myself first.
I don't know what the situation is in your school, but can children remain lined up in the yard until you get them personally? This helps a lot in our school, because at least if they were to start fighting there isn't anything they can hurt each other with (apart from the floor that is), alternatively could some sort of "red card" be put in place so you can get immediate assistance from the next class without having to personally leave the children when these problem occur?

Best wishes. I know how horrible it is to have no support from the top. Don't stand for it.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

I'm off to hospital tomorrow I guess to discuss induction or something. Can anyone tell me if I need to take my hospital bag with me, or take OH with me? I don't really fancy travelling all that way on my own in my current state, but no point him taking time off now.

What happened to you overdue ladies at the standard 'let's see what we can do to get baby out' hospital appt?

Congratulations to jojo and nickydee, who both stole my favourite dates:p. Never mind, I'll probably be stuck with the 13th...

Apart from that I am not a happy bunny right now. Had doc appt this morning, so on the way home went to sainsbury's, tiring enough. Then I thought I'd take dog out walkies, exhausting. Then I thought I'd do some batch cooking, which killed my back, then cleaned the kitchen, more pain, and to top it all off I had some ironing to finish.
OH watched TV through all this and where I asked for help I got huge 'do I have to do everything' comments and sighs. I could throttle him. The house is not set up yet, I can't do anything, and apart from the impending birth, my mother will be coming!! And I will not be mentally strong enough to deal with her. He was doing so well for days, moving stuff in, hoovering, wiping, but for three days it's been nothing. He even has a huge problem that he has had to take over the dog walking! I thought I was the one who should be resting right now.

Right, I'm off to bed, hopefully to get feeling back in my back
    Goodnight from a moaning whale...
