  • Wow I disappear for 1 day and there are births!!! Congrats to all I hope everything is going great guns so far!!

CG - I know what you mean we do seem to have the same taste in men! Do you watch Smallville?? I also have a nice drift off to sleep fantasty where I am going out with the nice boy Clarke Kent (who looks so hot with his shirt off and is totally fanciable now I knw he is not 17 he is actually 30 so only a year younger than me!) but sleeping with the downright dirty Lex. Hmmmm.

Sorry though I do need to have a rant. I am so fed up. I have been going dizzy and apparently when I wrote down what I have been eating it's not enough as I am not hungry at the mo and can't eat much in one sitting. I have been told to eat something every 2 hours or so whether I want to or not to regulate blood sugar. Being told to eat sounds more fun than it is when you dont want anything. Anyway I also need to rant about being SICK TO DEATH of heartburn. It's so bad I feel like I burnt all my pipes. I can't lie down to sleep as I keep waking up with sick (sorry for TMI) and acid shooting up my pipes and I am living off rennie fruit. It's now 4:45am and I have been up since 1:30am every half hour retching and trying to calm the acid. I just want to sleep I want to cry I am so tired. I am not bad when sat up so have attempted to prop myself up in bed but i can't sleep like that so I have given up and come down to use the computer and am now watching Quincy MD on ITV.

Point is if I dont eat supper I am dizzy and faint when I get up for my obligatory wee in the night. If I DO eat then I am up with this heartburn. Grrrrr. I can't win. I actually cried earlier and asked hubby if he would mind carrying the baby in his tummy for a couple of weeks so I could get some rest. I guess this keeping me up in the night is all food practice.

Rant over. Might put a DVD on after Quincy. Something with someone hot in it. Cheer me up. Any suggestions from any other insomniacs??

Morning Shelvis! Still up? Sounds like you need something stronger than Rennies. I've been so lucky as I do eat constantly, so when I went through the phases of not being able to finish my main meals it didn't matter.
I'm sure if you sit up in bed long enough you'll just pass out, then maybe even get used to it:confused:
Other than that I'd badger your doc/mw, as you can't live like this and you do have ages to go yet... Huge hugs for tonight.

If everyone cared and nobody cried, if everyone loved and nobody lied, if everyone shared and swallowed their pride then we'd see the day when nobody died.

we ARE twins! heartburn is killing me, i hardly slept last night and what Z's i did get were caused by me being propped up by two fat pillows and my body pillow so i was practically sat up (which then hurts my hip and back  )
the worst bit about acid heartburn is not the constant cold feeling in the throat when its reminding you its always there...
not when you feel an attack coming on half way through a much wanted meal that you now cant finish without considerable pain...
not even feeling it creeping up your system the second you lay you head on the pillow...
not even waking up choking and gasping for air because its blocked your pipes as you sleep,
its when it actually makes you sick, and it burns your throat, your nose and your eyes (and the porcelain off your toilet bowl)
i HATE heartburn! its spoiled both of my pregnancys,
all i can say Shelvis is get off the fruit rennies, i bought a pack last week when i couldnt get any spearmint flavour and was desperate and i had the WORST night, the orange one nearly killed me...i swear, i woke up with loads of bubbly crap in the back of my throat and couldnt breathe in for at least 5 seconds (which seems an eternity when you need air)

I'd be interested in this too. I don't so much have a problem getting to sleep, but after an hour I wake up completely awake with my heart pounding and mind racing. Have tried the warm baths, warm milk, reading before bedtime, relaxation techniques etc. In the end I went to the doctor last week and he gave me three sleeping tablets but I daren't take them becasue of the baby. He also signed me off work for two weeks (he did say he could sign me off until maternity leave but I said no) and I thought that might stop all the thoghts of work in my head all the time but it hasn't - in fact it's worse as I'm now convinced that my boss is plotting to get rid of me and I won't have a job next year.
I need to go back to the doctor next week before I can go back to work and not sure what to do. Still not sleeping, completely exhausted, crying over nothing and no motivation to do anything but scared stiff I'll lose my job. Plus the class I currently have is horrible. The physically fight all the time and are really rude - apparently they made the teacher who taught them yesterday cry! I know just how she feels!

So if the class are physically fighting all the time, and you would have to go in and break them up - isn't the school putting you and your baby at risk? Shouldnt they give you a calmer class to deal with whilst you are pregnant - risk avoidance and all that?

If I were in your position, I would let the doctor sign me off for a bit longer.
    Take care :grouphug:
