Congratulations SB. We've known for a while that my wife was going to be induced last Monday how funny that after all your waiting around, we end up being a day apart!

Hi all

Congratulations SB on your october baby - poppy is a cute name (in fact was one of the many I considered until I found out I was destined to be mum to males only!)

Shelvis - I've been suffering with heartburn/ reflux also ...i was taking lots of different remedies until I found out that you can't take them all when pregnant (ummm..bit late now) now an on the old fav. of preggie mums liquid HB remedy (money saving though as I have got the tesco generic one!) and as I only have 2 weeks left I bought a small bottle and ITS NEARLY GONE! LOLOL..tastes carp though and doesn't work as well as the ones you supposedly cant take (tums fruit worked well for me).

The only thing that works for me is also not eating but obviously not a long term solution! milk does however help a bit (and ice cream - well it's made from milk), have you tried drinking a glass of that after each meal? I never drink the stuff normally but it has been a lifesaver when the pain hits and I've run out of the other options.

anyway hope you find your solution too. Only 2 weeks left for me so I'll just have the post pregnancy stuff to deal with then!

Thanks for all the suggestions on the heartburn guys. I have only just woken up. I went to bed about quarter to 6 this morning. I will try and get some normal rennie today even though they taste like poo. I do have an appointment with MW next wednesday so if this get s worse I am ringing her. I have decided that the dizzy is better than the heartburn so I am not eating after 8 at night. If it gets bad I will have a glass of hot chocolate and a couple of digestives.

And CG - I don't fancy the bloke who plays Lex. I fancy Lex. There is a whole world of difference. He so bad.

To be honest I think I was goven that class as a "punishment" for being pregnant. It's not an age range I have any experience with, the classroom assistant was moved into a different class for most of the week and it's definitely not the best for the kids in an exam year to have a teacher who would only work until Christmas. My boss is not the most sympathetic about stuff like this (This is the woman that repeatedly phoned me at home in the week after my miscaariage to say I would be better off at work than wallowing in my own misery at home. She also said to the deputy head "I don't even know why she's off; there on't be anything physically wrong")

I have tried to explain that I'm not happy breaking up fights but I just get told not to let them start a fight in the first place (They generally come in from playtime fighting).

I have told the deputy head I will see what the doctor says next week and if he says don't go back I won't. I suspect I may lose my job but at the end of the day is it really the end of the world? I love the teaching but hate all the crap that goes with it. I'm sure I could find something to do!

Hey guys, firstly congrats to you septemberbaby, and to let you all know i have updated the list with my large and ever so late arrival. After 4 hours of intense contractions and only 1 1/4 hours in hospital, Amelie Kate arrived fit and healthy....and yes, she was worth the wait.

JoJo thats fab! congrats on the speedy birth!
I LOVE the name Amelie and was seriously considering it, but my OH is called Shaun and the names 'shaun and amelie' together just remind me of something else these days, i didnt want any bad feelings about maddy attached to my baby...so we picked the name Natalie Joanne for a girl instead
but, its a boy anyway (end of ramble)
