Ooh, things are finally happening then, SB - excellent! :T :j Surprised to hear they induce people on Sat nights though - I thought most hospitals do that sort of stuff in the mornings. So what are they going to do, the gel?
I was really suprised too! I think I said 'yes' before she finished her sentence :rotfl:. Apparently inductions are every day at 7:30am and 7:30pm at my hospital and tonight was the next available slot. Not sure what is going to happen but I have a few booklets to read before I set off...:o
Thanks for the good wishes, everyone! If I don't log on again today, thank you all so much for your support through the ups and downs of the last 9 months. You have all been fantastic :j:T:j and I feel really emotional now....:o
Hope Sarah, Jojo and Agutka are about to board the labour train soon too.
I promise to report back asap....
Take care everyone xxxxxx
Love OctoberBaby !!! x
PS: Congrats, CG, what an achievement! I think Danny will be the greatest gift you can award yourself....x0 -

A FANTASTIC WELL DONE CG !
DH is trying. He leaves his smokes in his car now. He did quit when we first arrived in the UK, but started again after a couple of months (it took him a few more months to come 'clean' with me).
SB, when I was induced, which was another country, I went in at 3pm, had first pessie-thingie at midnight, another at 4am, and by 7am when OB came to see me I was in the labour ward, having mild contractions. He put another one in (tmi warning) really deep, and then my contractions definitely started. DS2 was born at 10am, and although OB's practice was just across the road from the hospital, I barely even had a MW in the room when I delivered (the end happened very fast) - even DH ran out looking for a MW.
Best of luck once again ! I can't bear to call you OB - it is what we call tampons in my home country !
And jojo1978 are you around ?0 -

Aaaw, bless. What a great club:beer:
izoomzoom, I was thinking of those tampons too! :rotfl:Don't even get me started on lightbulbs - the 'osram' brand is a very rude word in Poland...
fac73, since I've realised things don't go all that much to plan , I am totally not focused on the 10th anymore and just want the baby BY the end of wednesday night (single figures ish). Good grief, is there nowhere we can have our wishes heard out? My friends were trying to get me to eat a curry last night, but I didn't want to just end up with a bad tummy, so I nearly just had a piece of chilli. Before I got to it though, I was attacked by a stealthy slice of ginger root, which is soooooo gross that it put me off eating anything weird. Maybe I should get on the ball - the nursery has very soft carpets in case of loss of balance... Or I could just get on with the housework:wall:0 -
Hey girlies, i'm still here. Thanks for asking and noticing that i wasn't though, its so nice that people i've never actually met are here wondering where i am.
Good luck SB/OB, i'm all emotional after reading your post.
I had a hot curry last night and a pineapple and was convinced she'd start making her way out, but nothing yet.
MIL is phoning all the time, as she is coming up tomorrow and wants to meet the baby, along with grandfather in law, who has told everyone he is coming to see the baby tomorrow-i think he's gonna struggle.
Its got to start happening soon, although dearest hubby says he doesn't want top be interrupted whilst watching robin hood later-he's desperate for a beer, but i've told him he can't, in case i have to go to hospital.
Sending labour vibes to all who want them particularly sb, agutka and anyone who is due/overdue.:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

Good luck Septemberbaby, hope everything goes smoothly for you...as someone said to me before DS was born, may your baby be skinny with a small head!!
I had a sweep on Thursday but it doesn't seem to have kicked anything off, and am booked in for an induction on Tues morning if nothing happens. Had one with DS and he'd put an appearance in by 4.30pm so hopefully things will go ok on Tues if not before.
Good luck to everyone else who's due and especially overdue (it's no fun going over!!)0
