my wrist feels like its broken!
hi CG
I had this from week 26 in my last pregnancy and it caused lots of sleepless nights, with my hand going numb during the night. After 2 weeks i went to the drs who referred me to get some splints to sleep in. These worked a treat once i got used to wearing them. I also developed this last summer and have had it since - in fact since i got pregnant (i am 19 weeks) it has actually eased off a bit. I found when i had it when i was pregnant it disappeared within about a week of having my son. If you aren't sleeping because of it i would definitely go to the drs - or failing that if your hand goes numb at night hang it out of the bed as that works too (not great on cold nights though).
Can i ask when people started wearing maternity trousers. I am too big for my old clothes but not big enough for maternity yet. Baby is definitely moving about but worry about its growth - got scan next week and then going to decide about downs testing.
To everyone that was worrying about bonding with their baby - please don't worry. You will love your baby from the minute it is born.now mum of 4!!!0 -

Hi
My daughter is only about 12 weeks pregnant , but is already wearing maternity trousers! She has got a small bump already and was uncomfortable in her normal jeans so she bought some maternity combats which she wears sometimes. I bought her some of those maternity jeans with a deep elastic waistband , but they'll be better for when she gets a bigger bump.

Happy Birthday for yesterday SeptemberBaby. Hope your sweep goes ok.
Have just had my third sweep and i doubt whether it will work as Jr seems to be quite comfy where s/he is. Mind you s/he has just been served its eviction notice as am booked in for induction on Sunday at 9am.
Hope everyone is doing nicely and labour vibes to everyone who wants/needs them.£2008 for 2008 club member 3360 -
Thanks Sheel
found it really difficult to find maternity wear as I am quite short and need short legged trousers. Don't want to pay a fortune. Looked in new look as someone on this forum said they had some jeans for £12 but in my local store they were all 32" long!!!now mum of 4!!!0 -

Update
Well, i'm still here, went for a sweep this morning, which couldn't be performed as the baby has decided to unengage herself (to 1/5th engaged), and was happily bobbing around. Midwife did say i was 1.5cm dilated though and that my cervix was soft and ripe (that sounds like a piece of fruit), and that with it being my 3rd its quite likely that it will all happen very quickly. She tried to book me in to be induced next thursday but surprise surprise the hospital has no spare beds, so i have to try calling at 7.30am friday morning.
Midwife seemed to think i wont need to be induced though as she thinks it'll all happen naturally....We'll see.
Come on SB, lets be having yours out.
Good luck to everyone else who's due/overdue.:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

Happy birthday for yesterday SeptemberBaby
i started wearing maternity wear when i was about 10wks pregnant(size 10) now they dont fit and im having to get size 14 maternity, which will only be worn for another 8wks or so! I didnt have to buy maternity when i was preg with my son never mind a size or 2 bigger.
but there again i didnt crave sweets, fizzy pop or anything else thats not 'good' for you then!
Can i just ask the women who are pregnant with baby 2 + if they feel more nervous this time than they did 1st time?0 -
happy belated birthday for yesterday septemberbaby at least now your little darling gets her own day hope everything goes ok with the sweep.
mickyme i feel so much more nervous this time around i think its because you know what to expect and how much its gonna hurt:eek: but at least its worth it at the end i'm more afraid of having a section ( dont know why) where has one of the girls in work says that she would prefer this to the actual birth0 -

It has taken me 10 years to pluck up the courage to do it again and i was ok until I went to my first parentcraft class at about 30 weeks. Had obviously managed to block out everything that happened last time (36 hr labour, eventually having to have a drip to speed things up, tearing etc etc and the worst bit being unable to do a number 2 for two weeks (sorry TMI). So I am definately more nervous this time round - mind you its been totally different - last time my daughter turned up nine days early and so far I am eight days late. Roll on Sunday when I might finally get to meet the little s*d who has been making my life a misery for the last 41 weeks.:j£2008 for 2008 club member 3360
