Ooh, things are finally happening then, SB - excellent! :T :j Surprised to hear they induce people on Sat nights though - I thought most hospitals do that sort of stuff in the mornings. So what are they going to do, the gel?

I know!! Saturday/Sunday Baby!!! She can be SB again!

Be careful though SB - the last induction I heard of (although there were valid medical reasons they were aware of) ended up with a section - just as well though - the baby weighed 4.5kgs! His sister apparently came up to him and introduced herself "hello, my name is May, I am your sister and I am four years old" before walking away again. Bless.

Happy Birthday SB - hope tomorrow goes ok! I hope that Mr SB is primed to report on procedings!

Fingers crossed for everyone else too!

happy belated birthday SB, hope all goes well tomorrow!
And the rest of the squatters, hurry up :)
Am off on hol tomorrow for a week (sunny Northumberland!) so hope to hear lots of happy birth day stories when i get back.

Anyone had any probs with their pulse racing (not a prob with blood pressure, just heart!) - my GP scared the sh*t out of me yesterday by referring me to a cardiologist rather than just dismissing it as one of those pregnancy things, so not quite sure if i should worry or not!

Oh, SB, I've missed you, and I wanted to wish you good luck for today. Happy Birthday for the other day too (baby's really need their own birthdays anyway).

Induction for me was a good experience. No drip, and DS2 was born within 3 hours of contractions starting. I hope that it can be a good experience for you too. Will be looking out for a post later on. (It means that we can finally move up the list again .....)

I put myself to bed at 8pm last night. I was really ill the night before and just felt shattered all day long, eventhough I had an extra kip in the morning. Anyway, apart from a few toilet trips (I really don't seem to have that many - but perhaps I am sleep walking to the loo) and one episode of cramp behind my knee (couresty DS2 who decided to sleep at the foot of my bed and I couldn't stretch my legs out) I have had a pretty good sleep. I have 7 shift of work left, but am off now until next Wed. My last day will be the following Wed, - it can't come quick enough.

Way I figure it, and it seem that this board seems to produce a lot a overdues (or has for for the last few months), I have a maximum of about 7 weeks left until we get to meet our little man / madam !!!

Very dissappointed to not see the sun the morning, but hopefully I can get some motivation to catch up on yesterday's lack of housework. It is amazing what havoc missing one day's worth has caused.

Wishing labour vibes for all those wanting them !

It is overdue city here isn't it? I had a thought this morning that I must not mention any twinges on the forum, as that usually stops labour in its tracks! So my plan is to just disappear and come back typing with one hand, whilst breastfeeding a week later. Isn't that mean??

I was disappointed in the lack of sunshine too, but I see it is trying to burn through the thin clouds here. Don't know if that's good, yesterday my eyes wouldn't stop watering from the bright light, which was helpful:rolleyes:

Hope you're feeling better today zoom

SB - good luck, hope it goes smoothly!

  • although she is probably in a panic getting last minute bits ready, i dont think you have missed SB, the induction time she gave was pm....

dougggie - i did have a massive palpitation attack one morning (the day we were leaving for our holibobs in late june) i practically collapsed on the bathroom floor, my heart was beating so hard you could see it, the force of it was actually making me move and i thought i was going to have a heart attack!
i was given a scary list of things it might be, had to give up more blood for loads of tests and told if it happened again we had to call an ambulance....
but ive had no sign of anything else (and all my bloods were fine)

well today has two big events... firstly it is our maternity ward tour this afternoon, we are quite excited about it, we will get a good old nose about and see where our baby boy will be born in a few weeks! yay...
i did think of a few questions to ask... but you know me, im completely blank now (must learn to write stuff like that down! )

the other thing is.... today is exactly ONE WHOLE YEAR since i gave up smoking, so after the hostiple..im going to buy myself a prize!
