congrats to all the new additions

I'm holding off on nappies for now as we're going to be trying cloth and I want to wait to see roughly what size this baby will be before I spend lots of dosh - and we're being loaned loads of stuff so I have to wait and see what we then need to buy. I am itching to get things sorted though, I think I'm definitely getting to the nesting stage :D

Agutka I use Fairy non bio as it's the only one I like (I only use a tiny bit anyway cos I'm a stingy sod)

Oh hi Bailey, thanks for this thread, it's been an inspiration and phenomenal help.

SeptemberBaby - you're collecting nappies already? I only have a few samples and a small pack of Huggies, which I had to get to pick up the changing bag.
When I feel ready to spend real money on the baby I'm going to have to have a baby wipe test. I find them really unpleasant smelling due to the lack of perfume. I think my SIL was using Pampers and I still can't stand them. Or, apparently, persil non-bio. I got a sample from NTC and I can't bring myself to use it, gross. Thankfully Ariel seems okay, as do the tesco tablets I bought to start laundering the accumulating piles of baby clothes.

Re: wipes. I always buy unfragranced, tescos usually but I find any do the same job apart from the cheap thin ones.

Nappies: I have washables, which I used with other two but I have one pack of newborn disposables for the first few days, but no doubt will need to get more disposables until baby fits into washables.

if you already buying (which is great... cos so am i lol)
try not to buy too many different brands of nappies, my daughter HATED switching between brands,
we were confirmed huggies users but every now and again we had to pick up a pack of pampers and my poor babe would get a terrible rash, even between those two top brands!

    so spare your babies bums!

Can i join in having a moan?

Been feeling really horrible for the past 3 weeks, full of a cold and a horrible chesty cough, went to see my gp earlier this afternoon and was told i have sinusitis?sp. thought i was getting an abcess.
I have been given some antibiotics so hopefully i will be feeling a lot more human in a few days.
As for the heat, in work we have no window and the air con only seems to work in the winter

Only 6 days till my 12 week scan yippeeeee

You're not :o. I've got 4 packs of Pampers, a big box of Pampers and 2 Huggies, I think. I'm planning on getting a load more soon as I've got some Boots extra points vouchers burning a hole in my purse, and I've just had extra points vouchers from Tesco in the post as well. It makes sense buying them when you can get extra points - that's my excuse anyway. :p

I've also acquired a few packs of wipes from mystery shopping. I keep telling myself that even though it looks a lot now, once you start using them, they'll be gone really quickly.

Can I join this club? I have about 10 packs of nappies (going on recommendations of friends for brands) and about 10 packs of wipes!

I do hope to go onto cloth nappies after the first couple of months but figured I would start off with the disposables as it might make life a bit easier for the start!

Maybe I should start stocking up. Had another bad mother dream last night. Suddenly had baby already and had to change the nappy. I wiped his bottom and bits with whatever I had to hand, like tissue and was running around trying to find all the samples (house is a mess, so couldn't locate anything) of wipes and nappies and trying desperately to remember from my nephew experience what else I had to do to a bottom before dressing it!

    Hi guys

I think my bump is definetely dropping now, yesterday as the day progressed the waistband of my trousers got so tight that I had to move it under my bump. Not sure if I will make it to due date. I'm due to work until 19.06.07 so we will see if I make it 'til then.

Feeling hungry and beacause I am on antibiotics I have to time them so that I have an hour before eating after taking tablet. Today the hour is dragging and I'm soooooo hungry!
