  • Congratulations Froofroo!

I haven't begun massaging yet either, and I probably won't. Has anybody tried it before? Did you think it made any difference?

Hi slapps, I had an emergency section first time round and was given the choice of an elective section or go for a trial of labour for this baby. I asked my consultant if i would be allowed to go over my due date and was told yes, also I would be induced first rather than straight into a section if I wanted to go the 'normal' route. I don't know if it differs around the country, have you seen a consultant?

    HTH, casper x

i have seen my consultant but i had ds1 with me screaming the place down so didn't think to ask lol. i will ask on my next appointment with my doc next week but i'm pretty sure that your right.
    thanks casper xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks for all of your replies on the massaging too .... I really thought everybody was doing it from 36 weeks onwards and I was the only one who wasn't!!!!!!!

Maybe we should do it to each other :rotfl:  :rotfl:  Lie down in a big circle...

I had such a good day today. Went to the doctors, who said I have a viral infection, so there's nothing they can do about my cough. But the just visit worked wonders and I've felt great. Went shopping, went walkies with doggie. Full of energy. But that was that. Since lunch I've been too uncomfortable to do anything at all. Back to pregnant misery. Shall I pack my hospital bag?...

  • Well girls, all the baby dust and prayers worked. I am 9+6!!!! :j Sonographer found baby with a very strong heartbeat quickly and was surprised the Gynaecologist couldn't find it. Yahoooooooooo! I am so chuffed. DH was there with me and he said it was like seeing No1 all over again. I had myself all geared up for bad news, even went so far as to tentatively work out childcare and work arrangements for when I had to have the D&C  .

Still got pain in the left side but it must be coming from the backache. I felt a lot better this morning until I stretched and a searing pain went up my back. I felt a cold sweat come over me and would have screamed out/burst into tears had I not been counselling a student at the time. Still, the news I got in the afternoon took my mind of it. DH and I are going round with huge :D grins now.

    Labour vibes to those overdue.

    Night all

Well done to both of you! You must be feeling so relieved and overwhelmed after such a horrible experience and such a positive outcome!!!!!!! :j :j :j
  • Congratulations machairs :j what a relief.

I am getting lots of twinges tonight, really low in my bump - not like braxton hicks. Anyone know what this is in aid of? Sometimes it is almost painful - makes me breathe in suddenly and sharply.
