Seems to be a lot of September babies! I always find this at school too - the most common months for births is usually September (last year I had seven September born children in a class of 23!). I always think that the parents at our school must really enjoy celebrating Christmas in December
Good news for the September parents though is September / October children seem to find it easy to do well at school!0 -
Ok ladies, hope i'm allowed to post this, Tesco have stupidly sent me 2 coupons to claim a FREE HUGGIES® Baby Beginnings Basket, worth £11.96!
(heres a link to the baby basket, its just above the sign up section http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/btc/)
All you have to do is buy a pack of huggies newborn nappies.
I have used 1 voucher for myself, but have so many packs of nappies and wipes, that just don't need and cannot find space for anymore.
If anyone thinks they could make use of it, pm me your address and i'll send it on to you.:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

Can someone give me kick up the bottom... gently.
Do I need one of these Tens machine thingies? One week to go and I still haven't ordered one... Please tell me I'm being stupid for not sorting this out - or conversly tell me it would be a waste of money!
Have I mentioned I'm ill? And it's getting worse, evil throat and very nasty cough... Please please make it go away before labour day! It's been over a week now with no sign of getting better. Like I wasn't useless enough before!
And no, my house still isn't finished!!  not a single room...:wall:0 -
*kick*
Sorry you're feeling lousy, Agutka. Me too, as it happens - something is up with my sinuses, my eyes and nose are constantly streaming and I'm taking paracetamol daily now just to function. House still a tip, too. No birth pool ordered - no where to put one! I'm sure there's baby things I need too.
Have faith in everything coming together in the end - if only because it has to! Baby won't care if the house isn't ready, and he certainly won't wait until it is! And OH is telling me that if I go into labour whilst poorly at least it will take my mind off it - is that any comfort? No, not to me either!
Concentrate on keeping your energy up - I'm going for lots of comfort food at the moment, just about to start a roast dinner (if I ever get off my backside), cups of tea biscuits, and I'm going through banana's like they're going out of fashion. Big glasses of milk - not like me - is my body storing energy for a marathon labour?!
Agutka if baby has somewhere to sleep, you have something to feed him, clothes, nappies and paraphernalia, it WILL BE OKAY. Promise!0 -

Anyone know how long it takes before they contact you when you sign up? You just reminded me that I signed up weeks ago and haven't heard anything!
On the brighter side, I got a great Johnson's bath box full of products at Asda yesterday. Someone mentioned them ages ago but I haven't seen any until yesterday. It is just like this except cream coloured (and it didn't have the soap or bedtime baby bath, but had all the other stuff)

EDIT: And what I meant to say the first time was, it was only £100 -

Funnily enough, this is how i ended up with 2, i signed up and a month later hadn't heard anything so emailed them saying not rcvd voucher and they sent me just the coupon in the envelope, then a week later i actually recieved a full welcome pack, with another voucher inside.
That bath box is lovely, do you mind me asking how much it was?:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

Hi everyone
I tried to claim my tesco basket in the nearest Tesco to me yesterday. Not a small store but they don't stock them, was really disappointed as it was still really out of my way to go to and really want the basket. Have emailed Tescos and waiting their reply.
Anyone else suffering with varicose veins, mine have gradually spread up my leg to other areas (TMI I know!). Would love to put my feet up for the next 5 months but no chance of that.now mum of 4!!!0
