Well for Emma it does, but I am not ready! That's it, I'm gonna have to pack my hospital bag!

How early do babies come? I'm on a forum full of squatters, why should I expect mine early? Although my idea of having baby on the 10th october (just because I like the date) seems rather appaling now! That's like a month away. Eeek.

Is there anyone who might be able to help me on this one? I work 2 jobs, 21 hours for my "real job" and 14.5 for Tesco stacking shelfs. When I found out I was pg again one of the perks was the thought of getting 2xsmp from my 2 employers. However, upon looking at the Tesco staff benefits webpage, I find that as I earn under £87 pw, I am not entitled to it. It then goes on about the Maternity Allowance. Would I be entititled to it even though I would get SMP from my first job?

No - you can't claim Maternity Allowance and SMP at the same time, unfortunately.

Thanks for that information. That confirms it then. Now I have to ask myself whether it is worth working for them for much longer as I'm nailed with tax and not going to benefit from SMP during my ML. In some ways it gives me a bit of freedom to choose when I leave now, takes the pressure off.

    Thankyou!

they should do a thread the MSE Overdue Club for us ladies who are sick of being pregnant and want it over with! though i do like reading about newbies cos it brings it all back to me, before i became a labour-inducing-obsessed-swelled-up-fed-up-fatty :rotfl:
  • hi Liley9, welcome to the madness!
to add yourself, go find the most recent list, click quote, take out the
marks either end, stick yourself in there and post it!

do you girls think im out of order... ive decided i just cant go full term and all your squatters are scaring me!
im giving Danny another 4 or 5 weeks baking time then im going to actively try to evict him! i will be technically full term by then (and well aware that on the inside he will probably stick his hands out either side of the 'opening' and stop himself coming til hes at least a week late)
but it will make me feel better!

what ru going to do to evict him?! since 37 weeks i was convinced it would be "any day" and wanted it to be! so have been walking, curries, etc and im still here with my baby clinging on from the inside! have just done a 2mile walk (and for someone who is 40+5 i think thats pretty good!:p ) and still nothing.

sarah i hope you are still with me, please dont leave me in the overdue club all alone :o
