CG - I've had a few  chocolate eclairs whilst pregnant and I'm still here. A little bit of what you fancy does you good. My mum was told when pregnant with my brother to eat loads of liver, now we're told to not touch it???
Also with bras, I bought soft support ones from mothercare and although my boobs don't have as much uplift (i.e. help from the underwiring scaffolding) there much more comfortable!!!
I'm still here girls anyway, Emma how are you today?? I've really stopped feeling sorry for myself now. I'm registered on the Bounty forum aswell and a girl that was due around the same time as me lost her baby giving birth. It is such a sad sad story and makes you realise just how lucky you are and that baby will come when its good and ready. I have vowed to stop moaning from now on.They took my signature away!!!!0 -
3kidsnomoney - I'm 34 weeks and still wearing underwire bras, just in bigger size. Have also got a couple of sports bras as well. Went to my local M&S last week to find some bloke had bought up 6 carrier bags of the reduced maternity bras etc to take out to Rwanda to sell. Was slightly peeved at this as you can imagine.
I had a runny egg this morning as well - couldnt resist !!:rolleyes:Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
Mmmm, runny eggs - I've had them a few times, they're too good to pass on.
However I seem perfectly able to forget all about pate until Agutka mentions it
My internet is being cut off today at some point and won't be on in the new house until - I don't know, Monday or Tuesday, whenever BT feel like it.
So best of luck to Sarah and Emma, I hope there's lots of news when I next catch up!0 -
Thanks everyone. I'm off now to M&S for a big box of chocolate eclairs and some bras.now mum of 4!!!0

Curious_George wrote: »hi,
ive always noticed your posts as i LOVE Otis!
nice to know other people are reading our hormonal rantings!
Tens machines are brilliant, but im pretty sure you cant use one until your over about 37 weeks... something like that anyway,
i saw a cheap one in a lloyds chemist recently and very nearly bought it
I love Otis too, I did plan on getting rats but it would have meant tidying......
And I do enjoy all the hormonal rantings! I join Ophie in the pacing department!
Anyway, TENS machines, don't buy the lloyds one, even if you're not pregnant, it's not as good as it could be. The main difference (although some mentioned the voltage I didn't know about that) is that a maternity tens has bigger pads (more coverage, more pain relief, is that selling it to you!), and four pads (the lloyds only has two which is not good at any time frankly!). And a boost button so you can crank it up during a contraction.Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
I think I've had a contraction... on the forcourt of sainsburys petrol station! Shooting sharp pain up my back and contracting tummy. Only lasted a few secs really but OOOWWWW! Practice eh? Getting worried about baby's position now...
Pate pate pate pate pate pate:wall:0 -
i used to get all kinds of shooting pains and thought they were BH but now i dont know, i dont get any such twinges!
i am still here, been to country baskets with mum for some housey things. when walking round had to keep stopping i was getting really bad pains right at top of legs and bottom of belly, like some1 trying to pull me apart from the inside! wasnt painful as such more like owwwwwwww i cant walk
but i am going for a walk when hubby gets home might encourage my squatter to come out.
sarah, that does put our moans into perspective - as well as scaring the poop out of me  i just want baby out to know all is okay. tbh im quite enjoying the lie-ins now - 10am this morning! and loose women, and eating what i want, and people ringing to see if i want my shopping or housework doing :T
cream - cakes - just eat them! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
did anyone watch nigella she made choccy mousse but with marshmallows so no raw egg - a mouse we can eat! if anyone wants recipe i might be able to find it, or i taped it on sky plus i could write it out - was basically marshmallows, chocolate, butter then fold in some cream and ready to scoff (she put it in fridge for a bit but i reckon would be nicer warm:D )0 -
So sorry to hear your news Misspink - thinking of you x
Going on holiday tomorrow - very excited, but it will be great to catch up on all the births (hopefully lots of them!) when I get back in a week. Good luck to all the September mums and dads.:A I can fly :A0 -
Ooooh Agutka, Emma-b.... wait for me lol! Sounds promising for you both!!!
Emma I know it really does put things into perspective doesn't it. I was scared after reading it but am willing to put up with all the niggles and moans now, as long as the little one is healthy!!
Fac Agutka is winding you up with the pate again lol!!They took my signature away!!!!0 -
Is there anyone who might be able to help me on this one? I work 2 jobs, 21 hours for my "real job" and 14.5 for Tesco stacking shelfs. When I found out I was pg again one of the perks was the thought of getting 2xsmp from my 2 employers. However, upon looking at the Tesco staff benefits webpage, I find that as I earn under £87 pw, I am not entitled to it. It then goes on about the Maternity Allowance. Would I be entititled to it even though I would get SMP from my first job?0
