Ha Ha just got back from my 24 week check up (early cos midwife on hols next week). Fundal height measuring 25cm which is 2cm too big but not worried. Funny thing is i have only put on 1lb since I found out i was pregnant to say belly is massive! I knew my arms and face felt thinner.
Ooh, same as me. I lost weight at the beginning, not through morning sickness, but through not being able to finish big, usual meal portions. And the weight dropped off my face, neck, arms and goodness knows where else! I only went back to my original weight as the belly expanded. Hence my average weight gain, instead of humongous weight gain, what with my stupendously bad diet...
Rachel, Thomas is my bros name and it's great. You could get worse than the tank engine! Go for it. I'd use it myself...:wall:0 -

Hi girls, thanks for all your congratulations!! Still not sorted out the name! I'm thinking of Thomas David, what do you think? I love Thomas for a little boy and I suppose it would be ok shortened to Tom for when he is older. But would you get jokes about Thomas the Tank Engine? Other names I liked were Benjamin (but dh said everyone would call him Bunny!!) Luke and Joshua...Finding it hard to think straight and don't want to call him something daft....just something timeless like his sis (Emma!)
He was a whopper by the way at 9lb 8 anad 1/2 oz. He is gorgeous lol.
Shouldn't be long now for you emma and sarah, mw told me 85% of babies are born between 40 and 41 weeks so that doesn't leave you many days!
And about Thomas the Tank Engine - DS told everyone his name was Thomas anyway when he was about 2 or 3, just because he loved TTTE. (Though now that he's 13 he doesn't like me to tell that story, so Shhh!)0 -
Hi Emma, I feel fine, a bit crampy and really uncomfortable but just going to have a long bath, have had a show (tmi) so hopeful but not getting my hopes up IYKWIM.They took my signature away!!!!0

Here's something to cheer up all of you who are pregnant... Enjoy not having to suck in your tummies! :T I'd totally got used to letting it all hang out during pregnancy and it only just hit me now, 3 weeks postpartum, that I actually need to start breathing in again when wearing tight tops. Not fun at all.
although i think your bonkers for worriying about it only 3 weeks later (you do know that nobody expects you to be fully recovered yet!! and if they do then its the law that you get to smash them in the face with the heaviest thing you can lift.... you mad woman!)
but that is one reason im quite happy this is a november baby,
i LOVE my big winter jumpers anyway and hopefully they will hide a multitude of sins until im ready!
in other news...ive got the poops0 -
Good luck! You both have to do something soon - I'm going on hols to Centreparcs on Friday and need some news by then. Looking forward to it, but can't use most of the spa stuff due to being preggers
Still, gets me out of having to bike ride.
I think the paint you have to be ultra careful with is old stuff that might have lead in it, but if you aren't stripping it you may be fine. I found I got a bit woozy but was ok as long as I had all the windows open. Painting poles are good as I was banned from standing on anything.
Good all scans/checks have gone well. Thomas is a lovely name Rachel, good size baby too!
Sorry not very good at names, can just about remember mine at the moment!Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0 -
Thanks guys. I will carry on glossing. If i get fed up I will say i found some research on internet that says i cant do it heh heh.0

Emma - she said my cervix was very softand stretchy, and that I was 1-2cm dilated (which is normal for someone on the fourth baby and didn't actually mean anything). She also said there was plenty show there (sorry everyone TMI I know). But now I feel fine, nothing, not a jot, so I'll still be here tomorrow at this rate!!They took my signature away!!!!0
