Congratulations Rachel!!!!! Hope you aren't too sore
Would you ladies mind if I asked another question? Sorry I feel so cheeky asking but lots of people have commented on it and I wondered what you thought?
My hubby and I have been decorating the whole house. We have decided to do one room a week until November because it all needs a freshen up and we KNOW we won't have any time when the litte one arrives!! It's not structural all we are doing in each room is:
Finishing off little jobs
Repainting walls
Repainting ceiling
Glossing the doors
Resealing round the windowns
Hubby has been doing the ceiling so I am not reaching and he has been painting the walls while I have done the cutting in with matt emulsion. But I have been doing the glossing. People have been grumbling at me saying I shouldn't be glossing but even if OH did it surely I would be breathing in as many fumes??
We have bought Dulux Aquatech gloss which is water based not solvent based so the fumes are WAY less (smells like emulsion) so surely that's ok?? Right??
What do you think???0 -
Hi Emma, your sweep could still amount to something yet! My sister had one and never went into labour until the next day so I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Don't be scared about being induced, I was with my other three and its was fine, a long day each time, but fine! Just keep on the move. I am saving all my housework for later because I know I will be obsessed with it starting after my sweep. I don't know what we're having, no. I have two girls and a boy already and would love another little boy but at the end of the day as long as the baby is healthy and everything goes okay I'll be happy.
Do you have any names planned yet Emma??They took my signature away!!!!0 -
Shelvis I glossed our stairs whilst pregnant and actually if I remember rightly I decorated through every pregnancy and I was fine. Cut an onion in half and place it in the room your painting. For some reason the onion soaks up the smell of the gloss, sounds mad but trust me it works!!They took my signature away!!!!0

Shelvis I did a bit of decorating when I was about 20 weeks or so, I couldn't find anything official that said to avoid it completely. Just keep each room well ventilated and take lots of breaks, you'll probably want to anyway. I like the smell of gloss0
