PS: did you see Ant 'n' Dec last nite when they flew some guy's shed over to NYC, complete with Curious George cuddly toy?!? :rotfl:I guess I really should get out more :o but I get too tired :rotfl:

    awwww, yeah i did :D
ive had my Curious George since birth, but mine is wearing a red top and hat not yellow,
he is my answer to the "what would you save if your house was burning down but all your family and pets were already out" question :o:D

you think YOU need to get out more?
as soon as they showed where it was i was straight on earthcam.com to see if i could spot the shed on the times square web cams! lol

Nope girls I'm stil here :( Four days over now and starting to lose the plot. Not worried about the birth, just irrational fears that something could go wrong between now and the birth and it's really getting me down. Just called mw to see if she could do an earlier sweep but she says it is policy to have it done no earlier than 41 weeks which will be Thursday.....seems forever away. Still she is going to try and see me this pm to reassure me, otherwise it wld be 8 days between appointments which seems far too long.......

was convinced you must have had baby!
my midwife said she would give me a sweep at 41 weeks but i said i was worried about going so long (for reasons i wont go into and worry people) so she agreed to do one tomoro, when i will be two days overdue. does your mw know how worried you are?
im sure all will be fine - one of my friends was left to go 22 days over and her baby was fine:D
another friend was left 14 days and baby was perfect:D
i know what you mean though i dont want to go so far over and hope baby starts making some moves down and out sooooon

Hi Emma, mw just phoned back and is seeing me later. At least she will listen in to baby to make sure all ok at the moment. Have tried to tell her how worried I am but she says intervention can do more harm than good. (Although on other boards/forums it seems mw do sweeps at or before 40 wks?)
I think though that all the stress can't be good - to the stage where I keep cracking up and can't sleep till I pass out etc.......Don't want to go into reasons and worry people either but tbh if they offered to deliver baby now I would jump at the chance....
I hope we both get some contractions soon  and best of luck for tomorrow and hope it works.
Any news on Sarah yet? Will be dead jealous if she beats us to it! :j

  • Hi girls. I'm still here, just wanted to get all the housework done before I sat down today or I end up here all day which isn't going to encourage baby is it!!!

Rachel I'm getting my sweep on Wednesday and I'll only be a day over. I'm due tomorrow. No signs tho so not holding out any hope. The most they will leave me is 10 days over aswell. So I'm either looking at 2days away or 11 days away, not too bad but I,m the same as you now, worrying about everything, the birth, the pain, how my older kids will cope, completely irrational, fell out with OH this morning because he put washing in the machine and didn't turn it on!! Poor man really got it in the neck, and he's learning lol he didn't just dump it in the bedroom as usual!

Emma good luck for tomorrow and the sweep. I really hope it works for you, you will let us know... please!!!

One of us has to go soon!!
They took my signature away!!!!
