well I've been off the pill for 2 or 3 weeks and I am stunned at the changes in me. I'm really kinda impatient, I've bumped the car reversing off the drive with my clumsy hormones (I really think my width perception has gone kaka), I've shouted at my deputy headmaster twice in one week, and I don't even know how to poiltely say how my ttc efforts have changed.
I am a severe victim of my horMOANS and I really can't think what I'll be like when I get pregnant! Lord help all around me....
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

I came off the pill 8 weeks ago; thinking it would take me ages to get pregnant. However after feeling really sick (last week) and not having had a period since coming off the pill i took a pregnancy test last tuesday which was positive. I then took another one tuesday night as i didnt believe it, followed by one wednesday and one thursday all of which were positive. So Friday i went to the doctors and they have done a blood test to check?! What are the chances of the DIY tests being wrong?

This will be my 1st and i get the results from the doctors tomorrow. I feel exceptionally sick and am hoping that if my pregnancy is confirmed i wont feel like this throughout...

I dont know if i am really happy or scared?!

  • Hi Bozbear, I think most pregnancy tests are pretty much 99% accurate, and if you've done that many I would certainly think they can't ALL be wrong, so congrats!! Hope all goes well with the Docs and I hope your sickness dies down.
They took my signature away!!!!

I think it is very unlikely that the tests are wrong - I think you can get a false negative but not a false positive. It also sounds like your symptoms show you are pregnant.
    Congratulations!
I got pregnant with my daughter as soon as I came off the pill and we were a bit disappointed it was so quick. This time round we started trying Jan 2006 and it took ages and we were disappointed again! Some people are never happy, lol!

You probably won't feel ill for the whole pregnancy - generally the first 13 weeks are the worst - though that feels like forever when you are ill every day.

Congratulations again and good luck :)
  • Best of luck, harassedmumof3!!! ;):p

    Congrats, Bozbear!!! :j

    hi

hope u dont mind if I join the list - have been lurking since 8 weeks but never found the time to add myself...(or buy a car seat or anything else much yet except for lots of cute clothes!)

I'm having a boy ...and a home vbac (I hope).

My biggest problem so far has been finding clothes to wear to work -I'm down to one top and pair of under the bump trousers, so I'm getting through alot of washing powder constantly washing them. I've even bought maternity tops that I now cant wear since they don't cover the bump!

    x t.
