Agutka, you really need to take it easy, I've been reading some of your posts and your doing too much!!! It does sound like either bp or iron. Hope all goes well with midwife. Let us know. They took my signature away!!!!0

Hi all,
Thank you Curious George for adding me to the list. (Actually read the first post today when logged on but I suppose a bit late now!)
Had blood taken by nurse this morning who said that she doesn't think I am aneamic as my blood is still quite dark. Apparently it looks lighter if you need more iron! Got to ring back at the end of the week to check if got results. Might just be feeling really tired due to waking up approx 3-4 times a night to pee, turn over, with cramp/backache, feeling sick etc.
Keep getting really bad pains across the bottom of my back and cramp-like pains in my hips. Whe I told midwife, she said to take paracetamol and if gets really bad can send me to see a physiotherapist. She said usually a waste of time as all they can do is tell me dif ways to sit down/stand up etc to ease pressure on my back.
Hope you are all well and things go as planned for all this week! x0 -
Last to check in again!!! Been cleaning and washing all morning and I'm shattered!!! Parents took dd for the morning and are bathing her for me, my bump too big to do that properly now!! Glad to see everyone has checked in and is well....3 days to go and counting!
Agutka, have you had high bp at all? Don't want to worry you, but mine has been high and I have had it repeatedly drummed into me that if I get any blurred vision or severe headaches (that didn't go away with paracetamol) to phone the labour ward straight away, not to even bother calling mw. I would give them a call if I was you to make sure all is well. Take care and really hope you feel better soon....

Hi there.. BOOBYLOU!
WELL done for losing the weight.. how you doing it?
Sooo glad you brought up the issue of how the pill affects our chances of conceiving.. wondering that as I have taken my first test and it was negative! Agh! Despite desperately TTC.. Ironic ain't it.. I used to worry if I missed one pill.. 6 weeks later no pills and no baby.. shouldn't of worried!
I'm sooo not trying to get hung up on the baby thing either, concentrating on doing our place up ready to sell (hopefully!) and carrying on with my Sign language course!
Only thing I'm worried about is that I only want to keep tryin until my mid thirties.. only a couple of years away!
Pregnant women and baby adverts everywhere at mo.. or is that just me!
Going to enjoy being able to sleep at night for now, although I am TOTALLY envious of all that can't because they are expecting!!LOL

HI all, looking for advice here. I've just been phoned by the Doctors, I've got group strep B or group B strep whatever they want to call it, my homebirth is off, I am really really worried now, has anyone had/got this or any advice please!!They took my signature away!!!!0

Hi Sarah, I had Strep B in my last pregnancy and all was fine. They give you antibiotics in labour to make sure no infection is passed to baby and then baby will be tested to make sure s/he is ok after birth. I think as long as you get antibiotics risk is low. They are assuming I have it again so I will get antibiotics this time too. The only other thing I know is that water births are out and my mw thinks(!) if my waters break I may have to go to get antibiotics at that stage rather than sticking around at home.
There is a good website where you will find more coherent info: http://www.gbss.org.uk/?gclid=COaDvp6ip44CFQKuQAodcXoXTwThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks Rachel, you've just reassured me a little. What I had read had scared me to death. I am really disappointed about my homebirth being cancelled but would rather be safe than sorry. They took my signature away!!!!0

Just had a look at that website, so glad you raised the issue. It says you need IV antibiotics at least 4 hours before delivery. I didn't kow this and mw never told me. Here was me thinking I would stay at home as long as possible......make sure your birth partner knows too. My dh really had to fight my corner last time to get the anitbiotics (well to get anything at all in fact - even gas and air!) and I'm sure it wasn't 4 hours before the birth but I guess the guidelines may have changed since then. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
