Ok. I'm starting to get my first real understanding of baby obsession.
OH and I decided to come of the pill just a fortnight or so ago, I'm having my first period in about 6 years (I was on the mini-pill), I'm feeling uber-hormonal and woke up just thinking how this is going to take forever. I've been on the pill for ten years apart from a sum total of about 16 months where I wasn't and my body must be absolutely riddled with nonbabyness.
Whenever I've not been on the pill my periods have been so ridiculously irregular, I was only having about 4 a year.
I'm starting to realise what a long road this may be.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -

I'm starting to realise what a long road this may be.I don't want to get your hopes up but none of this is really a factor in determining how long it will take. I'm 27 and started taking the pill at 18, stopped for a few years after a relationship ended - didn't have a single period in that time, had blood tests but no reason found - I ignored it because, well I was 21 and it was convenient, back on the pill again for a few years, then a short break, and on again when I met my OH. No idea what to expect from my cycle, in some of the pill-breaks I was regular as clock work and in some had one period every two or three months. In the first month of TTC I was convinced it would take forever and could see endless negative tests ahead of me, nature had other ideas and it only took the first go - many others here have spoken of the same thing - don't lose heart, when the time is right it will happen.

i keep getting the same feeling - a really heavy dropping feeling, but baby was only 3/5th last time so maybe for me its just her engaging properly?
did you have swab? when do you get results?
i feel like crap today maybe its the weather we got pretty wet when we went for a walk, but i feel poo. had the squits bad style last night and today and had painful shooting type pain in belly this morning, i stopped myself thinking it was labour though and just tried to ignore it.
hubby woke up with me not in bed and thought i must be in labour (tis a rare occurance for me to be up first!)
Sarah, you need to chill your house must be spotless by now! im sick of going round in circles with mine.
im having a pyjama day reading the papers0 -
Can I be nesting even though not pregnant?
I even got on a stool today and hoovered out the light shade to get rid of dust and dead bloody flies. Cleaned out behind the television, got the special attachment out of the hoover to do the sides all round the house, you know where the dust collects and the hoover doesn't pick it up.
I shall be mopping the bathroom soon after watching BBLB (yes, sad I know).
To all those in dropping mode, I hope it happens soon and keep checking in, I'm clearing a path in order to pace when you are in labour and will go out and get some cigars (yuck) and something to wet the baby's head (yuck again) with.
Good luck and let gravity do its job xxxI saw two shooting stars last nightI wished on them but they were only satellitesIs it wrong to wish on space hardwareI wish, I wish, I wish you'd care0 -

Im with Fac, I was on the pill for y-e-a-r-s! and it meant nothing, once i came off it I was pregnant within a few months, had my daughter and got the coil....
had 2 coils in that time actually (for about 6 1/2 years) and not one single period, I worried endlessly that i had ruined my body, but again once the coil was removed it only took a few months before a positive line on the preggo tests...
im not saying it will be the same for you, but there is always hope
so dont start worrying just yet,
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Rachel...... where are yoooooooou?
*PUUUUUUUSH!*0
