I'm trying to not make getting pregnant the be all and end all of everything, but it's flippin hard...how you finding it?
I find myself watching TV programmes on babies and child birth, which is not condusive... and my OH keeps bringin up names he likes for a girl... !
LOL!
Hi Lillian06, yep my DH does the same on the names front. I have also found myself watching the baby channel!
Its very easy to get wound up whilst TTC it seems. I try to keep things in perspective and am comfy in the knowledge that I am doing what I can to maximise my chances. At the end of the day if it happens great....if it doesnt, then I will just have to accept that.
Miss_Pink, great to hear you are having a better day today
To all the ladies moving rapidly (it seems) up the EDD list, hope things are going ok for you today, not too many aches and pains.
Best wishes to all :rotfl:DFW Nerd no. 108LBM: Jan 2010 DFD: June 2014 - 27.1% paid off so farWeight loss (started 12/05/2012) = 37lbs/109lbs0 -
No I'm still here emma_b. Still waiting....and waiting....no sign of Sarah though! I hope I don't go way over my dates. Was talking to a couple of friends, one went 12 days and another 18!!
im hoping i dont go over either - i am fed up of waiting! and i dont want any more weight gain or stretchmarks  !! plus the midwife has said im not having a small baby so the sooner the better really!
no word from sarah still maybe she has beaten us to it!
tonight im thinking curry for tea (again.............. )0 -

. I've loved buying all the bits for my baby's arrival and I have been budget buying since about week 20 when I had my scan and knew things were OK. If I find I don't use something then I will pass it on/freecyle/ebay it....and there was absolutely no way DH was missing out on a nappy wrapper - he's totally fancinated by this stinky sausage making machine :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

If you think back to the 'money saving' philosophy that is originally behind this site, it's not actually about cutting back but saving money on the things that you do need to buy. (Martin puts it a lot better than that but you get the idea!)
So long as people can afford to buy stuff and aren't getting needlessly in debt because they believe they *must* have certain items, there's no reason not to shop till you drop!! The point is finding the items that you want (not necessarily even need) at the best price!;)
Personally, I wouldn't scrimp on things like newborn clothes - I wouldn't want my beautiful bundle drowned with oversized baby clothing! Then again - I'm not the sort who spends a fortune on Baby Gap or Next clothing.
Everybody's different - the trick is to know your own lifestyle and personal preferences and set a realistic budget!!Buying items for the baby is all part of the preparation and excitement IMHO!
PS: Good luck to Rachel and Emma. The waiting will all be worth it soon! :j0 -
Hi again,
Sorry for the slight rant yesterday and thank you to all who replied for your kind words. Have spoke to the Jobcentre today (a lot calmer than yesterday) and they have sorted out my MA. Should be paid from the 14th September so something is going my way! :T (fingers crossed, although I can't actually cross them cos of the swelling, they will be mentally crossed!)
Been to see midwife today and my BP was normal despite the problems yesterday. Had to see yet another 'fill-in' as my regular midwife was on holiday again! This one couldn't get a vein for my bloods so got to go back Mon am to see a nurse.
Good luck to you all x
P.S. Prob a silly question but how do I put my name on the EDD list?0 -
No Sarahmoon????
I wonder if she is currently pushing her 4th out?I saw two shooting stars last nightI wished on them but they were only satellitesIs it wrong to wish on space hardwareI wish, I wish, I wish you'd care0 -
Lol girls, I'm still here!! I had to go to hospital for monitering today for bp but everything is fine and I'm back home, really fed up and shattered had a glimmer of hope that they would just start me off.
Hope everyone is well, and loads of labour vibes to all that are due or nearing due date!!!They took my signature away!!!!0 -
And there I was wishing you good pushing vibes.
I retract them all and insist that whichever one of all you due to drop people drops first (don't you just love my terminology) you must log on whilst in labour and let us know that you are in labour so we can all pace the floor until we hear from you again to let us know all the gross and happy details
