Congratulations Janinegr, steveeee and eels100
Welshlassie - fingers crossed for something soon.
And dougggie - Two years ago (May) my company was sold off to another. It took until February this year for them to officially change our contracts. Up until Feb, we were under TUPE - ie all the terms and conditions of our first company applied. And in order to change our contract, we had to have a 30 day consultation period too. In all the negotiations, the second company tried to demonstrate that the new t&c were as generous or more generous than the first, and we were told that at the end of the 30 day consultation period, we either had to sign the new contract, or it would mean that our contact with the old company had come to an end (and we were therefore out of a job).
I see that you are due in March, so unfortunately it gives your new company ample time to sort everything out. My only advise would be that you try and negotiate something extra out of them during the consulatation period. You would also try ACAS - I am sure they might be able to help. Also, and I don't know whether I am grasping at straws but are they not discriminating against you by reviewing the contracts now, just because they know you are pg ?0 -
:hello: izoomizoom! Not seen you for a while. Hope all is well x0

Unfortunately I'm the first employee of the new company so no T&Cs to carry over, however the T&Cs that I've read up on this morning just mention that policies and procedures can be changed/reviewed at any time. We're supposed to follow a consultative approach though, and given the fact this has all been signed off in about a week smacks to me of a lack of consultation! Discrimination crossed my mind since I've forced their hands on it, otherwise the old policy would have continued to be in place. I just didn't think they could change something like that *after* you've informed them.
Still, it forced me into seriously reviewing our budget yesterday...not a pleasant experience as I won't be able to afford as much time off on mat leave now.:mad:0 -
Welshlassie - this is not the time to keep your legs crossed
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you though, hope it all happens very soon!0 -
:T Congratulations to the new arrivals:j
Welshlassie - hope things get moving for you soon!
I'm halfway there already and starting to wonder how I'll cope with 3:eek: DS is 2 in just over a week and still seems a baby to me.
Had scan yesterday - baby kept knees very tightly crossed despite doing a full flip and moving as far away from the scanner as possible:rolleyes: so we don't know whether it's boy or a girl. Course this means I've got a great excuse to have a 4d scan which hubbie was saying he didn't want:D :j0 -
Helend, my wife and I had a 4d scan of our twins the other week. Like your husband, I wasn't too keen on having one done - my view was that the first time I wanted to see my babies in such detail was when they popped out. I have to say though, I loved it!
The sonographer really had her work cut out though. She spent ages trying to get a good pic of them.
If you want, you can have a look at the pics on our blog https://www.teamburchell.com - it was a great experience.0 -
Jtotheb, how fab is your blog!!! And, I want your twins nursery! Are you available for hire?! :rotfl:My DH isn't going to know what has hit him when he gets home
. Can I ask what colour paint you used?
x0 -
LOL - I think we used a colour called Natural Wicker in the Dulux range. It doesn't look it in the pic (looks yellowy) but it's very magnolia-like. The walls were covered in tester pots before we chose the final colour!0
