Eels - Congratulations so wonderful hear how you have taken to motherhood you made me cry (not that that is difficult at the moment), you sound so besotted and I can't wait to be in the same situation.
Steeeve - congratulations to you and Mrs Steeeve as well, what a gorgeous picture. Enjoy.0 -
I'm looking forward to tomorrow when I can say 'I'm due next month'! Actually, if I'm honest, its freaking me out ever so slightly but I'm trying to keep calm and relaxed :rotfl:
Pram and carseat are being delivered to MIL's on Saturday and cot to my Mum's this week. Anyone else feel slightly embarassed when people offer to buy things?

Well I had more contractions last night. Almost 3 hours of strong painful contractions 8-10 minutes apart from about 10:30pm. Phoned hospital at midnight and they stopped at 1am and just had period like cramps for the rest of the night.
I have no idea whether I'm coming or going at the moment, so called the hospital again this morning and they are sending a midwife out before lunch to have a look and reassure me. Poor hubby isn't getting much sleep either, but he his having to go into work every morning (why don't these things happen on the weekend). He's an hour away today so need to give him plenty of notice if he needs to come home, I'm just reluctant to call him when I get twinges because they never seem to materialize into anything significant and he'd have to start is paternity leave, which we really don't want to do until baby arrives.
Sorry for the moan, just frustrated and feeling trapped in the house at the moment as don't feel I can go anywhere by myself in case anything happens and I can't drive home.0 -

Hi
I hope the MW can reassure you. It is awful when you feel stuck at home in case!! My DH is an hour away too, and I worry because my last labour was "only" 5.5 hours.
Thing is, in the middle of our pregnancies, when we don't have much to worry about, we start to worry about the birth and labour............suddenly at the end, we can't wait for labour and birth!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Mother Nature is sooooooo clever!!!
I keep checking in for updates, so let us know if thigs start to happen!!
Thinking of you!!

Well the MW has just left and she has just said I'm having a very long latent phase! Not much else I can do except to mobilise and rest when I can and to try Raspberry Leaf tea.
I'm seeing my MW for my 40/40 week check on Thursday if I'm still around and she can do me a sweep then to move things along if I want her to, because I've had so much movement, but no results.
I'm off out to sit in the Garden for a bit and might even attempt some hoovering ilater f I can get the hoover up the stairs either that or its some ironing and really don't want to tackle that.0 -
Hi douggie
not a legal bod but are you under TUPED conditions if you are then they have to honor them I was from one company to the next and they had to pay me 100% for 6 weeks and also 50% for 8 weeks as under the terms and conditions from my old contract hope that helps
