You're kidding me right? We Buy Any Car offered you more? Wow...0 -
This was after you declined to book a sales appointment, and the original offer expired? If so, it could have just been trying to tempt you into it, I kept getting emails asking if I still wanted to sell one of the cars I put through (they didn't want the other one) for a few weeks0

Yeah that's true. Since I put my details in about my car, they phoned me up and asked if I wanted to book an appointment. I calmly explained that I wouldn't be taking up their offer.0 -
WBAC.com....... 99% waste of time.
Got a quote for a Rover 220Gti for £50; sold it for over £300. WBAC will only give you the min. based on car age, irrespective of mileage, extras, condition etc etc. Wouldn't bother with them. If you want to sell a car, advertise elsewhere ---- you're more likely to get a better price.0 -

My own experience is this:
First of all, they`re not a charity, they`re there to make a profit on each car.
Secondly they offered me more than a couple of Ford main dealers on a part exchange on a new car,
Thirdly, when you try to sell it private you get time wasters and others who will always offer less than the asking price.
Fourthly, WBAC offer you a price and you can take it or leave it, they don`t twist your arm to sell it, the choice is yours,
Fifthly, if your car is only worth about £300, it will probably cost you more than that for the next MOT.
They provide a choice and the choice is yours.0 -

If it's over 6 years old it'll go straight to auction (they want the cars they sell to be under 10 after the 4 years of credit). A 220GTI would be pushing 20 years old by now, so they just don't want it.0 -
These companies( webuyanycar, we want any car) are quite in used car buying market. However what they offer on their site they never pay that amount. When i was looking to sell my own car, i found these companies just give you the price online but never pay you. All companies offer online valuation services but never pay what they say you car is worth. Moreover, the price they offer is again is not actual car worth however once you ready to accept loss of online quote. Then you have to go to them by taking off from work and they will come up with ridiculous price. Interesting thing is they are not going to pay you right away as they are supposed to, if you need to get instant payment company will charge you £75 transfer fee.
However, there is another company WeBuyCarsToday they do bit different, first you get the online price which is decent price i will say, then they call you to discuss before your sale of car, their customer services staff do discuss condition of your car and give you around figure which they will pay for the vehicle. So you know and can make decision before wasting your time. They come to you regardless is you work place or home, so you don't need to take off from work. Payment is instant and free.0 -

Yes but that isn't the issue. If you are happy with the price offered then fine. I find it morally reprehensible however, that their 'experts' will go over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb finding the most minuscule of faults and knock off highly excessive amounts of money.
I sold my car to WBAC in July. On first inspection they knocked off nearly £900 in 'damages' (lots of minor things which added up). Told them 'no deal' as I needed a certain amount to clear the remaining finance. Without even having time to think the guy agreed to reduce the damages to sub-£500 to get the car.
I could have pushed further but got the figure I wanted and got the car sold within an hour.
2 months on, looks like the car has yet to find a new owner as online tax checker shows it as being untaxed.0
