Anyway, I checked with the SA and said to her I have bought the items so she scanned them and thanked me for letting her know and next to EVERY till at the checkouts was a printed copy of the Tesco voucher policy.

It was early so I didnt take in as much as I would when fully alert but the SA told me basically it said vouchers accepted for products bought and one non-purchased voucher as a goodwill gesture.

What is all this, is this a national policy, have I missed something?

I am hearing from alot of my local mse members that our stores are tightening up, the one store today has now put up these notices re acceptance of vouchers as they were taking alot of vouchers for non-purchased products. Tesco HO does have a tesco voucher policy but it is not definitive and is really down to each store as to how this is interpreted.

    More perfume success tonight :D

L'air du temps from the pharmacy for £3.18 [bought a JF sachet pack for 98p to take the total over £10 so that I could use my H&B and So Beautiful coupons.

Then Gucci II eau de parfum £21.50 a bottle - free with £3.05 towards other shopping! :j

I'm stocked up on a few lovely perfumes/edt's now that I never would have bought for myself before picking up all the couponing tips on MSE - thanks folks! :T

  • at work on tues i got to read our stores copy of coupon policy the basics were

all tesco coupons can only be accepted if product purchased

non tesco moc can be accepted providing tesco stocks product.only 1 of each type of coupon can be used if product not purchased but there is no limit to amount of moc that can be used in 1 transaction eg 1 pampers 1 anchor 1 filletti etc. a customer can pay for entire shop with coupons providing only 1 of each type of coupon is used.

if you use more than 1 moc coupon for same product then product must be purchased eg 2 pepsi coupons you must buy 1 pepsi etc

but 1 hr after reading this 1 had dm refused argued but she said i already used one earlier that day i pointed out it says 1 per transaction but gave up as didn't want to make a fuss think i will stick to other stores in future

  • Our local Tesco have a movable feast for their coupon policy... it varys from sa, to sa.

On the whole it is 1 coupon for each product stocked but not bought, with a limit of 5 coupons, over and above any Tesco coupons for items which have been bought. Some sa's will only take 5 coupons over all and others will take any amount of non store specific mocs, but only 1 of each.

It really is the luck of the draw which kind of sa you get, but life would be easier if they all worked by the same rules.

was a bit miffed myself by the impulse refund coupons don't know if anyone else has had any problems, they sent me some 2 pound ones and some 3 pound ones...........not a prob, but the 2 pound ones are a yellowy colour paper and the 3 pound ones are white cardboard, i have split them to use on my h n b shops as i think they look odd lol
coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there
