    Your being Paranoid.

The coupons are Tescos and you didn't hold a gun to his head. If they say anything you play dumb and don't do it again..............for a week.
  • as she proceeded to point the so called rule out to me (10% yet again).

daft isn't it - their coupons are for more than ten percent saving. if all you did was spend £10 on toiletries (not bogof) and used one £2.50 voucher you'd be getting a 25% discount

  • New to Tescoing. :p
When you use your h&B vouchers, do you actually spend the amount of money requiered to apply the discount money? Can you use two coupons (e.g. £1.50 H&B + £1.00 quit)?
When you mention H&B, do you mean the vouchers that come in the same quit smoking pack? If not, where do you find the vouchers... I have to admit that when I go to Tesco I feel guilty at the self tills so I do not even remember to look around. Sorry I am asking too many questions. Last one... how can you tell if the SA will be accepting your coupons. I always manage to choose the ones who do not accept vouchers unless I buy the product.

My husband likes the savings, but doesn't really want to know/be involved any more than that.. I think he's torn between being proud of me for saving us so much money, and thinking I'm mad and/or obsessed :rotfl:

I know what you mean, mine is exactly the same. ;) I think he's delighted with the savings, yet hates every single detail re coupons, coupon combining etc, and looks soo bored every time I start explaining the glitches. He does know how to spot the 'right' cashier though, he knows spotty lads are the best. :D

On the odd occasion I have talked my husband into having a seperate basket and heading off to another til. He has always had his coupons put through. I've told him to look for young cashiers, so he chooses a young girl, but I think the main reason he has success is that they take pity on him thinking hes a clueless husband, sent out with a list and coupons by his wife and he might get picked on if he doesn't get it right.. ;)

Because I go to tescos quite often I have got myself into the routine of buying my managers newspaper on the way to work, so decided whilst there to do a £10 h&b shop and get some free anchor butters again via some vouchers that I swapped. I stocked up on the sanex with the glitch still working

Anyway, I checked with the SA and said to her I have bought the items so she scanned them and thanked me for letting her know and next to EVERY till at the checkouts was a printed copy of the Tesco voucher policy.

It was early so I didnt take in as much as I would when fully alert but the SA told me basically it said vouchers accepted for products bought and one non-purchased voucher as a goodwill gesture.

At lunch-time I had my vouchers sorted into 2 piles was about to jump into my car and decided instead to meet up with some friends and have lunch.

tonight Tescos are delivering my weekly shopping which is another thing I dont have to do tomorrow. Just had the final bill for the extension and it is nearly £3k over budget so time to tighten up my belt and reduce my tescoing.

It was a member of staff who is being till trained who told me, so she will be classed as multi skilled, which they are trying to do with all staff now

    It is supposed to be:

normal carrier bag = 1 point
Tesco bag for life or equivalent size = 2 points
Large bag or shopping trolley = 3 points

Didnt have the heart to tell him they expired yesterday!!!!!

Went in for some milk and fathers day cards. Picked four jf up as well as a few other bits. Got to the till and was informed of their 'new' policy of only taking one of each type of coupon unless i had bought the items - so able to use 4 jf and only a few other mocs which he let me get away with 2.50 odd. So, they have been 'told' in our store.

Wonder what the self scan has been 'told'
