    Mortgage-free Glee!
i forgot about the handwash, we went thro a bottle every 1-2 week.

i stopped using the electrical toothbrush so i can use more t kid's toothpaste, i m addicted to the taste and can't have enough of it. by the way, it was only me to went thro a tube every 2 weeks, OH has been using the maclean adult toothpaste, it seems to last forever.

OH used to go thro a full bottle of shower gel and a bottle of handwash every week. now he uses a lot less shower gel after i introduced the shower puff thing to him.

i never really know how much bath foam to put into the tub, maybe i hv used too much, but sure it is disappointing to see those lovely foam disappears before i finish bath.

The weird thing is, since I have had a stock plie of handwash, we seem to go through more of it. :D

I use a shower puff too, and you do need less shower gel with them. Like you I love lots of bubbles in my bath but try not to go too mad. Mostly I use bath cream or something that claims to be moisturising too.

Well it finally ended and unlike when the Sb ended, this time I managed to use all my coupons up :D

It was a close call though and I had a stroke of luck just before the shop shut.

Went to 2 Tesco's and first one went like a dream, found a nice scan happy boy and he scanned everything I had, including the Harpers £2.70 voucher which expired yesterday.

Did 2 toiletries and 2 healthcare, bit mad though as only just found out Lynx was on bogof so ended up with 12 bottles of that and 4 blister Scholl packs via healthcare.

Paid very little and was very pleased!

I still had 3 toiletry and 1 Healthcare left and hubby had to go close to the other Tesco for some other supplies so it was too tempting not to go in and try my luck.

This particular Tesco doesn't like coupons much and seem to have a semi strict 10% rule so was a bit nervous. I didn't really want to get 2 toiletry in one shop as with the above coupon policy, I could end up paying a fortune but I thought I would risk it anyway ;)

Got more Lynx and a Dove glow set plus another set of Scholl blisters, my brain wouldn't work at all so couldn't remember if I would end up in credit or not so bought some strawberries and potatoes etc just in case.

I went down the line of tills, eyeing up the possibilities as you do ;) and saw a young girl who looked nice enough so made a beeline for her, a supervisor stepped in front of me and said, come to my till please

    I was doomed! :rotfl:

Put them on the belt in 2 sets, first set with 1 toiletry and 1 Healthcare and second set with 2 toiletries. Was quaking a bit when it came to handing her the coupons and she did take a good look at them but she carried on scanning them while I held my breath :D and same again with the 2nd set, came to £10.60 to pay and then 60p after vouchers, no problems and I even passed her a couple of 20p off coupons and she scanned those as well so got my carrotts for free!

While she was doing this, the girl on the next till I originally wanted to go to, was having a mini argument with a customer and was saying in a very loud voice, no its 10%, you CANNOT use all those coupons in 1 go!

Phew, thank god the supervisor stepped in front of me, I think the gods were shining on me yesterday afternoon! :T

i've got a raft of tesco baby & toddler club coupons today .. they're all for points thou, they start 99...so do i need to buy the item to get the points?

also there the 'baby beginings' basked that says i need to buy the newborn nappies to get it, do i really?

orrrr has anyone tried/is it allowed to buy nappies, then take them back?

(i'd send hubby in saying he'd bought the wrong size cause he's a clueless man! that should work)
(i'd do Huggies newborn nappies at £3.75, i get the baby beginnings basket, and 200 points..converting to vouchers i'm getting £8 + the beginings basked for spending £3.75...then take the nappies back to get it all for free)
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

Has anyone ever tried saying, "I'm sorry, I have an obsessive compulsive disorder and if I move to another till I might have a panic attack." ;)

    (It does work! :T :T :T )

so i bodyscrubed myself first b4 applying johnson summer body lotion, but saw streaks and patches of yellow on legs especially around knees, m i scrubbing 2 hard? i m not v good at these, m i?

Hi Vellum, any dry areas on your body will soak up the product quicker and therefore the result will probably be darker than other areas, its the same with hair when colouring, dry, porous, damaged hair will take more colour than healthy undamaged hair. Knees, shins and elbows are usually quite dry areas. Its always best to prepare the skin well before applying tan products and especially after scrubbing as this can dry it further but is good as it gets rid of dead skin cells, after scrubbing ensure you apply lots of moisturiser to the area afterwards, keep doing this for a few days and the skin should be prepared and the colour should be more even. HTH:)

it may not have anything to do with yr shop, it could be just a doggy coupon that wouldn't scan, that happened to me before, did another same shop but used a new coupon and it went thro. always prepare a few more coupons in purse, in case there is a doggy one in yr combo.

Thinking about it, when I took it to CS she tried to use the bar code reader and I think she had to input it manually.

Shall take a few extra next time.

    Thanks.
