    London Tiger beat me to it. But to satisfy you completely take a look at this;

    Again, wrong. Careless driving IS a recordable offence if convicted as it carries penalty points. If a death is involved, the charge is causing death by careless driving.

    Take a look here, you may learn something;

    Do you actually know what a recordable crime is?

    Upon conviction for careless driving a crime is not recorded.

    Err let me think... a conviction which is recorded on the PCN (an offence which potentially carries a disqualification or custodial sentence) by any chance?

    And I think it depends on the severity of the offence to what penalty it attracts. Of course Dangerous driving is more obvious.
    PLEASE NOTE

    Well that's wrong, your ignorance is amazing.

    You now seem to be making it up as you go. (Or as you "think", as you again tell us in your strange manner)

    Luckily no-one will be taking any notice of you by now!

    Sorry, I meant PNC. Is that the bit you are on about? If not, which bit is wrong?

    Well, just about everything you have posted on the topic today.

    You haven't exactly covered yourself in glory have you?

    Man up and admit you haven't got a clue on the subject.

    Nobody has shown me anything. What qualifications have you got? Some motoring offences are criminal offences thus recordable. I havn't judged the OPs wife at all... The OP himself suggests that the police arn't taking any further action. I am totally aware that a person will not necessarily get arrested on the spot but still may be prosecuted.

    If you are going to claim I am wrong, have the decency to specify where.

    Read back through the thread.

    Almost everything I have posted you claim to be wrong.

    What you have to remember, when it comes down to the law, one word makes all the difference.

    You don't actually know what a recordable crime is, what an arrested offence was, what the necessity test for arrest is, what the difference between a recordable crime and a criminal conviction are.

    Do I need to go on?
