Having trouble with Famac - again!
In the last month, two - yes, two! - orders have not arrived and when i enquired at the catalogues, was told they had gone astray. Ordered another lot for me and - you've guessed it - both turned up at once. Complained to the catalogues (word of advice, if you want to complain, tell them to make an official complaint, otherwise they do nothing) and was told they would put throught an official complaint. Heard nothing though.
My online account for kays is telling me today, that a delivery is due on the 13th march. The order was place on the 5th March. Phoned Famac to see if it would be here today and told there was no order for me on their system.
Surely there must be something we can do about this people. Lets get together and bring them down!!!I like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet.;)0 -
I was on the phone today to additions as I had wanted some parcels returned by famac, I initially phoned the details 2nd week of february. Anyway the girl wanted to take my details and said that there was such a level of complaints against them (famac) recently that her supervisor every night has to phone and basically complain to get them to lift returns. She doubts they'll be doing it any longer! But we wait and see! hahum

When I was in my late teens I used to order a lot of things from catalogues and websites. They'd invariably be delivered (late) by Famac.
I got so frustrated one day that I wrote and complained to Famac. They actually sent one of their managers out to our house to apologise. He also brought with him some parcels that I had been waiting on. I only wish I could remember the excuses he brought with him. I think they were mostly to do with it being the company's fault rather than theirs. But don't quote me on that.
Nowadays things haven't improved. I get cards saying they have called even though I've been at home at the time. The theory of them only calling on certain days is also a myth. They call here any day of the week whether I'm in or out. It's always a card in my letterbox downstairs saying they have called. And ironically at a time I've been in.
Would love to see something done about them... pronto!0 -
Hi,
I just had a parcel delivered by Famac today. I had gone out to get something at the local shop and I returned 30 minutes later to find a parcel in the middle of the driveway which I nearly ran over.
My mum had been in the living room facing out towards the front door the entire time I was gone and no one came up to the door to try and deliver it.
From looking at the parcel, and the fact it was in the middle of the driveway nowehere near the doorstep, the address letter had been ripped off along the driveway, it was face down and was covered in gravel it doesn't take a genius to work out it was thrown into the driveway. Luckily nothing was broken.
Famac weren't answering no surprise and we phoned QVC and were told that couriers do that (throw items from the van) and how else were we expecting it to be delievered? We were also told if we order from them again (yeah right) we can put in a special request for it to be delievred at the doorstep.
What on Earth? I've had problems with Famac before so it's not a big shockl but the reponce from QVC was terrible. What else do we expect? Are couriers not supposed to knock the door, and try and deliver the item? I paid enough for delivery, I'd like it to be delivered to my house not my driveway. From Famac I suppose it's lucky anyone attempted delivery.
Had I known QVC used Famac I would not have ordered from them.
The only way companies will learn is we don't use them because they use Famac.
Just thought I'd add another rant to the long list.
Have a good bank holiday weekend!!0 -
I think that QVC use both Royal Mail and Famac. Only one order from them was delived to me by Famac and it was a heavy item. It took 25 days to arrive with me (I had put in for a refund with QVC for non delivery at the time). It was a really heavy item, and when it arrived it had been opened, all the original packing tape was ripped off the box and restuck over. I think that perhaps someone was having a quick look to see if it was anything interesting in the box (if you understand what I mean) and discovered several bags of fudge mix.
I now ask when I am placing an order with QVC who is going to deliver the item, if they say courier, I say no thanks.Jellynose0 -
I know of someone whose parcel from Famac was delivered......into their bin, on top of nearly a weeks worth of rotting rubbish. When queried (sounds like my friend is the only person who ever has got to speak to a Famac representative on the phone!) she was told that it was more secure than leaving it on the doorstep and she should be grateful they went to the effort......
They also seem to specifically train their drivers to drive around country roads at high speeds on the wrong side.....Apologies for the sterotyping here, I'm sure they have some employees who do not do this, but they are few and far between.0 -
Could you please confirm the status of my order? The money was deducted from my credit card nearly 2 weeks ago & delivery was meant to be 3-5 days.
Many thanks
Jonathan
PS I am very concerned about the delivery as I believe it will be by Famac (if they ever decide to bother): http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=4545&page=2Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0 -
Hats off to Freemans - Famac tried to deliever it today! Pity no one was in - I'm bracing for a long phonecall tomorrow!
