Ordered stuff of the Marks & Spencer’s sale

I have been trying to get parcel delivered since last Thursday...keep getting engaged phone and when I got trough a girl keeps on telling me that its the express service department that is dealing with my delivery and she will get them to ring me back to arrange delivery. Well it’s now Wednesday I still have no parcel. Left my number with them 3 times and still no one has got back to me about delivery.

Please Uk companies dont use this service >:((calling it service it's much)

Received a skirt from Additions Direct via Famac last Friday. Obviously had been stored near an engine and stank of diesel fumes. Pointed this out to the driver and refused to take delivery.
  • Ordered mobile phone from LX direct 30 SEPTEMBER never got delivery and was returned to company. Famac held onto to it that long, it was a bargain phone so I ended up loosing out on numerous phone calls etc.
    Will never use them again.
  • Received an item from Tesco.com - last Thursday - was wrong one. Tesco unable to master the art of replacement and told me to return for refund and re-order item on-line.

Returns label said "Call FAMAC for collection".

Had previously seen this thread and thought "s#!+" :'(

Called them. "Will be collected in four working days". Unable to elaborate - however as wife is home during day thought it would have to do...

Anyway, unsurprisingly they have failed to pick it up - and it is supposed to be returned within a week to get a refund.

Why do companies insist on using this crowd? >:( >:(

  • Placed an order with Argos last friday with a delivery date of Monday, of course it didnt arrive so i called the famac express number asked the lady when it would be delivered, while i was on the phone she contacted the driver who said i would get it before 10am on Wednesday morning, to my surprise i did.
  • You can add Cucinadirect to companies who use FAMAC. I ordered something last week for express delivery and they have on- site tracking. It somehow indicated that the parcel was at Gatwick for the past 5 days but I checked this morning and saw that it's with FAMAC now. That explains everything about the supposed 5 days at Gatwick.
I promptly rang Cucinadirect and told them that if I had known that they used FAMAC I wouldn't have ordered since I've had nothing but bad experiences with them for the past four or five years. The woman on the phone told me that they would recall the package from FAMAC and in the meantime they would send me out a new order to be delivered by Parcelforce and that she would pass my comments about FAMAC on. She also said that there was no way that the parcel was at Gatwick for the past 5 days which confirmed that FAMAC was already cocking this one up. I told her that I would have actually paid a couple of pounds more for delivery if if meant leaving FAMAC out of the picture.
  • Never had a successful delivery with Famac. Parcel is always left at front door if no one at home. Parcel is always opened! Never answer phone - or i'm mysteriously cut off when i make a complaint!!!
  • I have had 2 visits from Famac in the past 7 days to collect a BOL return. Both calls were between 6.15 and 6.30. THAT IS AM. To return their package I now must go to Carrick.

This is a new FAMAC tactic. Only deliver during [glow=red,2,300]darkness[/glow].

This must be a whopper, although not sure if its down to just Famac!

I ordered a television combi for my ol ma in merry ol Nottinghamshire off the internet site on the beginning of December, in time for xmas.

The idea was to put photos on dvd's for her to watch instead of printing off photos. Plus as she's in dire need of a new video too, this solved both problems and no need to worry about hooking it up to her current telly.

She's in her 80's bless her.

Also a few days later i took advantage of this way of buying and did the same purchasing items for my dear friend and her two children.

    The company was Littlewoods!!!

I kept txting & ringing them but all i got was "no nothing yet!"

Last Saturday morning, a week before xmas, my partner answered the door to Famac - very early too!!

The moment he said who it was I knew instantly what it was and was mad i wasn't the one answering it to send them back. But it had to be the one morning i get to lie in - of course!!

I rang my mum and asked her the same ol question and got "no nothing yet" and the alarm bells rang.

Where was the telly? Who had got it?

I got onto the phone number that came with the parcel, after the usual queue & automated choices, I finally got through to a girl who ended up saying I shouldn't have come through to her, but she sorted out things when it became clear to her just what had happened.

She said that my friends stuff package 2 of 2 would also be coming to my address despite her Nottinghamshire address on the details!

Then she said "You're not going to believe this!" The television was sent to the NI depot and they returned it because it had my Mothers address but my Postcode!!!

I said just come and collect these and i'll have to reorganise something for my friends but its obvious a week b4 xmas they wouldn't get what i ordered them the first time as some were on offer in a sale which was now not available.

I was very let down and vowed that I wouldn't do it again, but I then decided to wait for package 2 of 2 to come, and send them myself to england after xmas.

No offer of compensation or return of email saying sorry after letting them know about this direct to customer services online.

If Famac come knocking for them - which is very unlikely anyway - tough.

The good news out of all of this is, Monday night, I bit the bullet and sent for a pre sale item online to my Mum another combi minus television. I had visions of her trying to lug it round the house anyway so I just went for that option instead.

Thursday I gave her a ring to let her know I had reordered her something, but was trying to get Customer services to let me know confirmation it wouldn't end up in NI when she stopped me dead and asked if i'd ordered her a DVD.

She had just set it down when the phone rang!!

At least something goes right. Just another tale to tell in the world of e - commerce! :-[

I received a card from Famac to say they had tried to deliver a parcel from Morphy Richards to me and to ring for a delivery date. Like other posters OI could never get through. Finally emailed and got a reply. By that stage I had at last got through and was told it would be delivered ASAP,(no set date as I gave 2 neighbours as alternatives). A month later and several very long phone calls (longest 32 mins in a queue before being cut off when I did get speaking to a human being), I was told my parcel was no longer on their system as they only keep them for a week. I was given Morphy Richards phone number to get it redelivered only to be told by them that the parcel wasn't for me in the first place, it was for a neighbour across the road. I was very annoyed at the time and money I wasted as well as being disappointed. I thiught I had won a lovely prize in a competition.
