Hi All, sorry I've not been around recently I've been so so busy
nothing wedding related sadly.
Eventually got the invitations back a fortnight ago, they are the wrong size some of them have glue on them some of them marked some of them cut on the border some wonkygutted isn't the word luckily my dad has cut them straight now so they look better. Hoping to get them out this weekend, I've just been cutting all the feathers down to the right size, glue dotting the insert flap up.
How is everyone else getting on?

sorry to hear this Steph, talk about unnecessary stress. How are things otherwise? x

Going pretty well, I think even though we've had a few problems with the venue cutting numbers from 60 to 50, then wanting to charge us an extra £200 for the pleasure so I gave them what for so now the bill has been reduced by £600
I can't wait for it all to be over now it's dragging on.
How are things with you?

Well done on the discount Steph!
We've sent all our invitations so that's one less thing on the to do list.
I had my make-up trial this weekend and she did an amazing job, I was really pleased with the look and yet still looked and felt like me which I think is very important!
Looking forward to the day and enjoying the planning (most of the time!) but just really can't wait for it to be here now!MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -
Yeah I can't wait for it to be here, it's like waiting for Christmas. Do you not get bored of all the questions though like who are your bridesmaids, what colour are their dresses etc etc I know they are just showing an interest but answering the same questions 10 times at a family party it's driving me batty

You're all a lot further ahead than me! I started a new job a few months ago and haven't had a great deal of time to get wedding stuff done, plus my fianc! is doing loads of uni applications at the moment so that's taking up all his time.
I'm not planning on sending invitations until mid-December as I thought I'd save on stamps and send them with Christmas cards. I don't think the caterer needs final numbers til a couple of weeks beforehand so an RSVP of the end of Feb should work fine. I'm going to print them myself with a design I found online so need to get cracking on finding card and envelopes.
I still need to order the bridesmaid dresses, find a hair and make-up lady (I've emailed two now but had no reply), work out how to heat the gazebo, choose the food, book the guys' suits, decide where to go on honeymoon, choose the readings and who to do them, choose my shoes, veil and jewellery etc. etc. There's probably loads more too I've not even thought of!
Plus my job is going to get a lot busier after Christmas. Better get moving!0 -
