Thanks cats2012 and avidcameraman - good advice. Sounds like my 9am hair appointment needs to be an hour earlier if I want to be able to relax with a glass of bubbly before heading to church! Poor you fleur

Oh, and big congrats on your wedding cats2012 :)

  • I knew there was a good reason for getting married in the later afternoon :rotfl:I'm not a morning person anyway, so no one wants me to be a grumpy bride!

We've no choice about the time of the ceremony unfortunately as the venue opens to the public from 12 and they need time to clear all the chairs away etc. It does mean we'll have a long day but our evening guests can arrive from about 5pm so we'll be able to make a proper party out of it all and chat to everyone that comes.

Dress shopping this weekend was great fun, I've no idea how I'm going to choose between all the ones I liked!

    Hi!

I'm April 19th next year so got really excited yesterday as it was a year! Have booked venue, sent out save the dates, almost there on the photographer, looked at dresses last weekend and think i've picked one. Worrying about what I'm going to do about invites at the mo as they seem so expensive!
    Started comping: Dec 08 :)
Recent WINS: AEGON Classic tickets, face pack.
I would like to win in 2014: Money (any!), festival tickets, any wedding stuff and a hotel stay/holiday!
  • Anyone else getting married on 20th?

Hope the weather next year is as nice as it was this year :-)

    Hey everyone,

I'm going to be an April 2014 bride too :)

We are getting married on the 17th April. Its a Thursday, the day before Good Friday next year.

We've sorted our venue, booked a registrar and given notice, sorted our photographer and sorted a sweet stall for after the ceremony.
Loooooads more to do but all in good time!

    So excited!

Ooh I'm an April 2014 bride too - the 11th!

We've got the venues booked for the ceremony and reception, booked the DJ, florist and car, and ordered my dress. My sister is making the cake, my mum and friend are making my (5) bridesmaid dresses, I'm making all the jewellery for gifts etc. I've made the Save the Dates, just need to get off my bum and post them! I've also made (well, re-designed) my shoes (2 pairs as I can't choose!). As you might guess, we're DIY-ing a lot of the day so heaps to do but I'm having a fabulous time doing it! We still need to give notice and book the registrar but finding the time to do it is tricky as they are only open a few hours each day and the fiance and I both work full time. But still, plenty of time yet. I will keep a close eye on this page and see how you guys are all getting on as the weeks pass!

    Yay! Another April bride!!

This week I've been sorting the invitations, I've been laid up slightly as I've broke my foot so getting the last few bits done. Hopefully at the end of the month we can do the suits but it's all coming together nicely :)

    Steph xx
